About Boonstra Farms - call for hours
Here at Boonstra Farms we offer a great learning experience for all school children. We teach about the importance of all aspects of farming in today's lifestyle. See the glass bee hive and see if you can find Queeny the bee. Come join our dog JJ on a nature walk through the bush trails, milk Bessie the cow, and take part in many hands on activities that take place on our farm. Come out and experience a hayride to the fox tower where you will learn about fur farming and fruit production and attempt to walk through the "BLACK HOLE." Our four tour guides will give you the best tour ever.There are four segments to the tour each lasting 45 min. for a total of 3.5 hours. lunch is in the hayloft

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place WAS my favorite place to take our family. This year though, they dissapointed big time. We went for strawberry picking, which was a major disappointment, as the strawberries were non-existent but according to the man at the entrance, "they had lots". They should have kept the field closed for a couple more days to allow the fruit to grow a little bit more.
Made the best out of it, anyways (especially after paying $17.00 for the box) and before leaving the farm, we stopped for ice-cream....
The person serving the ice-cream was busy eating her own cone when we approached. She put her ice cream down, and proceeded to grab a cone and pour ice-cream in what would have been our cone. The cone didn't have a paper wrap around it, she didn't use a napkin, nor did she have gloves on or a mask on. She looked so surprised when I told her that I changed my mind about the ice cream because of the impropper hygene etiquette.
Covid or no covid, there are some rules that must be followed when serving food to others.
It was definatelly an experience I do not want to experience again.
Boonstra Farms, I am never coming back again.

Owners and staff are amazing and courteous, And the fields were well groomed. The price of U-Pick is relative to the fun we had... Picked 3 four liter baskets in a very quick time due to the abundance of harvestable crop from proper picking practices.
Really enjoyed our visit, and can't wait to go again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They have very good strawberries and raspberries. The price is good and reasonable. I guess it is one of the cheapest places around Winnipeg to pick up strawberries. They also have some animals in the petting zoo so your children can play with them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had fun here for raspberry picking. Very convenient for a quick stop for baby to have fun, especially comparing to some other farms are appointment only and close on weekends… recommended for sure and hurry! Probably end of the season soon.
