I brought for ornamental railings to Boon tack and spoke with the owner darren. I was assured by him that they know their stuff. Colours picked and waiting for them to blast and powder coat. I was expecting them on a Wednesday but when I called to say I was on my way to Edmonton from Lloydminster he told me that they haven't even been blasted . A phone call would have been appreciated. He said come Monday and they will be done. Monday comes and I call to get confirmation. I got it so off I go. I get there and I was not happy at all with light spots on tight inside corners. I expressed that I wasn't happy to Malcolm and he said he wasn't happy as well. He asked if I could pick them up the following day and he would get it fixed that night. So I get a hotel ditch a days wage again and expressed to them that it must be uniform and no bare spots. But for a professional shop that should be a given. I get a call at 8 AM the next morning, I drive there, the inside corners were better but still faded. In fixing those spots they created other spots of high build areas and spackled affect like there was sand under paint kind of look . I just spent around 300 man hours building these ornamental railings for these unprofessional to rune my railings in a day. Darren the owner shows up and I point out the partially fixed bare spots, the high build on the ledges of the hammered flat bar and the spackling. And he tells me to load it up and get it out of here. I wasn't rude to him, I wasn't I'm professional. He just kept saying that was the best he could do. Well their best is terrible in my opinion. A true professional wouldn't say take it out of here and take it to someone else. A true professional wouldn't stick a customer with a $3000 plus sandblasting job to fix their inferior application of powder coat. A true professional would Have excepted the fact the customer wasn't happy with good reason and work with him to achieve a solution. A true professional would have assessed the job prior to starting to determine if it was within their capabilities. I experienced no level of professionalism from Boone tech or the owner darren . I am very disappointed with their job their attitude and their lack of results and I would highly suggest looking elsewhere for your powder coding needs. The quality was great! They did an amazing job on my rims. I know they can do much larger projects but the service and turn around time was superb! Thank you.
