★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cool book store with good prices - the only thing I enjoyed about Prince George.
Friendly staff, eclectic and relaxing decor amidst the busy-ness, and lots of natural light coming through big windows. Many happily discoursing customers sat enjoying treats and hot drinks from the in-house coffee shop, Café Voltaire.
Must return there if ever I am unfortunately in Prince George.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Green of a café/bookstore. It has a bit of everything! Great food, free wifi, an surprisingly great selection of books for the size of the establishment, lots of local events, live music and a bunch of other nice little touches. Cannot recommend enough.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to this store to use the bathroom. Bought a sticker book because i felt like i should buy something.. I go outside to leave and outside there are free toddler sensory books. I picked one up brought it to my nephew. It made his day. I wouldnt have got him anything for him if it wasnt there for free. It was so nice of them. That little guy looked at that book for probably 30 mins. And kept it with him after he was done. The longest i ever seen a toddler interested in a book. Only five or 6 pages but he just kept flipping back and forth and rubbing the penguins sensory patches. He felt so loved getting this book. Thank you Books and Company. You made a little mans day a really good one.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Books and Company was the modern Prince George renaissance, and these 20 some years later an essential local institution. A cultural entrepreneurial success to be coveted; the case study of which would be of the sort of depth not found in the Lower Mainland and of a regional social sugnificance on par with their unique section on Northern BC authors. A passionate selection of books, an engaging physical space, and a centre for independent artistic endeavor and people. The closing of Café Voltaire inside the bookstore in 2020 is much lamented, but the spirit of Books & Company remains entirely intact.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ By far one of the best bookstores in BC. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. There is a wide selection and books that aren't available in store can be ordered. It's also a LGBTQQ2SIA+ safe space which is much needed in Northern BC.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is easily double the size of the local Coles/Indigo store in the mall, which didn't even have classics like "Wuthering Heights." Aside from that the staff were incredibly friendly and helped me find my classic at a bargain price. This will definitely be my first choice for books in the future.
