We ordered 4 dinners - all were bland, overcooked, and dryyyyy like the Sahara. The chicken, goat, and pork were sooo dry. Overcooked and so tough and dry, but somehow everything was greasy. This was beyond well done, even the ghost was cooked out. The curry chicken was also dry, and was also full of bones like the rest of the meat, which is hard to remove out of a curry! The goat was all bones, nothing like Caribbean goat which I have eaten elsewhere. The rice portion was almost comically large, and then the portion of meat was so small in comparison. The side dishes of macaroni and coleslaw were VERY small, and uneven between the dinners- one dinner had almost nothing. Served with a bean sauce for the rice that is basically like a plain black bean soup that has been pureed. It is very heavy with greasy rice, greasy and rock hard, dry plaintains, and dryy meat. This was a terrible dinner experience. If this is authentic it certainly leaves a lot to be desired.

Service was fabulous and friendly. For that alone I'd go back, impressed also with the prices of their breakfast. One of the few places these days with a $6 breakfast. We didn't order breakfast but will try when in the area. The $5 lunch plates sound like a great price as well. We went out of our way to visit for first time for dinner, hearing so much about the great food. Having spent much time in the Carribean, we miss the flavors we left behind. The Grenada juice wasn't available. They need time to make it. Fish was an option that was available but I desired the vegetable plate. Sadly I was disappointed. It was a large tub with 3 cups of a dry rice and half cup of a mushy veg mix of eggplant, cabbage and a bit of carrot. That was tasty. Sadly, I could not eat much of the dry rice. Another side dish would have been nice, but sadly not even a salad was in my order. There were plantains however they were questionable with texture of dry pucks. I'm used to moist plantains? My partner's goat plate had the rice, some dry goat on top and 2 side dishes and 2 plantain pucks. His sides were a macaroni and the other was a very spicy type of coleslaw which I liked. Plenty of food for the same price as mine. With a veg dish no meat, it was lacking. Disappointed. The stars are for the service.

We've already been there 4 times in 2 weeks. I believe that says it all. The food tastes like genuine Haitian food and it's not a "hole in the wall" like most Haitian restaurants: you can enjoy a meal there. The goat melts in your mouth, the fried fish tastes just like home.

This place is an absolute hidden gem in Orleans. Very easy to miss on a busy road, and very simple inside, but whooa boy do they know how to cook. I had the goat curry, which was absolutely gigantic piece of meat cooked on the bone. It also came with what rather unfortunately looked like cole-slaw that looked as if it had been left out but was actually braised spicy cabbage that had a serious bite to it, and was super delicious. Absolutely recommend this place if you're looking for something different!

I ordered the goat meal last night. Not fried but cooked in their own sauce. Absolutely amazing. And they’re side spicy cabbage « sauce » is a must. Def going back.

customer service is terrible. I've been going for almost a year at least 1 a week. I'm used to the terrible service but tough it was worth it because the food was actually good ! I finally decided to complain and the male owner told me next time to come speak to him and he would give me a free meal for the inconvenience and messing up my previous order. A couple weeks later I go back to get my free meal and asked to speak to the owner. A lady came out and told me no that isn't possible. I asked would he be available the following day, she proceeded to tell me that's none of my business. I explained the situation and asked to speak to him again. She then told me No again and went on a rant about being the wife's owner and then accused me of cheating with her husband that is also the owner for a free meal. I was so shocked ! I've honestly never been so embarrassed :/ I'm honestly so disappointed because this restaurant had so much potential. If it was possible to give 0 stars for customer service I would.
