Bluffs Food Bank

Unfortunately it's an experience that I require it's not something I wish to be able to do, it something I have to do just to survive that's the sad truth, thank God Gail and the crew are good campers otherwise I'd kill myself!

The Bluffs Food Bank feeds over 300 families every week and is run completely by volunteers. But it's more than a food bank. It's a community where volunteers and clients alike treat each other with respect and dignity.

Good,if you are really in need. My experience here was not good. (Staff) don't know her name ,but was very rude for someone in the church of God. Literally toss my card back to me. And for no reason at all, I dont know of it's because I didn't look like I was in need ,I'm very thank full that these people put their times ,and efforts into feeding people who are in need, but you don't have to be rude,no situation is permanent, then they give better things to people they are familiar with, I have 2 kids and I don't want to be complaining about what is given,when I'm in need. But I thought this place would help me the things they gave were awful, meaning over due yogurts, vegetables were not edible. I personally think they give you things based off appearances, and if they like you. Hope that lady at the line up will be a better person and show more respect. I didn't feel welcomed at this place, and I pray that God will bless those volunteers, and workers to truly enjoy helping others ,and to give them the health and strength to keep on helping. But for further references, this food bank should at least hire compassionate people, who will treat everyone fairly ,and not be judgemental. Give the help that is needed. How do you give someone with kids less than a single person?, or give overdue items?. I will not be coming back ,I'd rather take out a loan next time,or any other resort . Bad customer service, poor welcoming attitude,and not really a help. They have their "VIPS" According to a conversation I overheard while waiting. Then my hand is sprained, no one atleast helped to carry the crates smh. Thanks for the help Bluffs, but never again. The people here are helpful and kind. They've been a lot of help to my family and myself during this time of need. I highly recommend them to anyone☺!

Bless all the volunteers who make the experience excellent, for those that really need it to survive. They provide soup and sandwiches as you're waiting for your turn to pick up your food, there's also a little shop, you can buy gently used clothing and items for low prices, thank God we have people with kindness in their hearts.

usually the staff is really nice and helpful. But today there was a new lady with brown hair inside taking cards. She was really rude and refused to serve me, I didn't bother arguing with her and left.
