How much riding experience do I need to be on a pack trip?

At Willow Creek - no experience is needed but you will be expected to learn how to catch, brush and saddle their own horses and be comfortable riding for up to 1-2 hours. The day rides we do include going up and down steep terrain.

At Coat Creek - some experience is needed and you need to be prepared to ride for up to 8 hours.

Campers will need to be ready to live in the wilderness which includes going to the bathroom outside, helping with chores like harvesting firewood and setting up camp.

They did some archery, went rock climbing, canoeing, and riding, among other things. They enjoyed s'more and campfire songs and fun games. They washed dishes, and did barn chores. They memorized God's word and have spent the last few days after coming home reading God's word and writing in their journals - on their own! Thanks Blue Bronna staff and councellors for giving my kids an awesome week. ?

They really listen to your problems and help you to feel heard and understood. The programming helps to grow out of your comfort zone, and brings you closer to God and your family every day!

LOTS of space for outdoor activities, and the sheltered firepits/eating area also provides the opportunity to sit outside if the weather is not co-operating. Nice scenery and short hikes are in the area. The grounds are very well kept, and the cabins to stay in are updated and clean. The cooking facility has everything you need to cook a meal for a group of people, lots of fridge space too. Sitting area inside has space for about 20 people. Onsite staff named John very friendly, helpful and always available. Great place all around, hope to come back one day!

It was a meaningful, unforgettable, enjoyable, relaxing and memorable time. The staff were great (very welcoming, friendly, engaged), the food was delicious (I expected simple camp food and this was above and beyond satisfying), the activities were a plenty as they were fun, the cabins were clean, warm and inviting, the location was beautiful and quiet (no internet connection, it was great!). We met wonderful families there and our kids made great friends. Chapel and worship time was very inspiring and impactful, bringing us home to implement more meaningful and dedicated time in God's Word as a family. Definitely a place to return to next summer, if not sooner! Thank you Blue Bronna!
