★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great place to stop and soak in fresh air on trip down Lochside trail. Benches at each end of historic trestle. Statue of farmer Roy on middle. Great place for Pokémon go, and view of mount Douglas. Lots of wildlife in this park.

After watching for a while you will notice that they are the eyes of froggies watching for bugs at the surface. Wait until dark and you get a chorus of croaking, just after the swallows swoop silently overhead to feast on the mosquitos...
