Fantastic hike for a beautiful view over the Creston Valley. Nice trail with some steeper switchbacks and then some level walking. We heard there were two bears near the trail after the 2 km marker, but they must have moved off by the time we came through. We took the longer bypass routes to avoid very steep sections and would recommend that to others. 2 hours round trip for us.

Newest trail up Goat Mountain and the only one accesible from within the Town limits. Built by the Creston Community Forest in 2018, the trail takes about 1.5-2 hours one way and can be tricky in sections with steep climbing. However, the payoff is worth it with some pretty stunning views of the Valley from viewpoint. Also has some nice picnic tables to have a lunch. Continue past here and you'll also hit foster road, which takes you to Ladyslipper Trail!

This was the first hike I took when I arrived in town and found a trail guide (townie to hike with). Only made it half way, about where the birch strip is...sat and enjoyed an incredible view of one of Canadas greatest gardens. ?

Very well maintained trail and great views. I suggest taking the 2 by-pass trails when you come to them. It adds about five minutes to your walk but in those sections the main trail is poorly designed and almost too steep on the decent especially if the ground is wet.

Pretty amazing, really. Not overly technical, but fairly steep for the first 1.5k. The views along the way to the fsr are very rewarding. This trail starts right in town and is well-maintained and very accessible. There's a good chance you'll cross regular hikers on this path. You can see I went up at the start of winter, but I was up in early fall and it was just as pleasant, most of the trail is under tree cover, so you're out of the sun most of the time. I highly recommend this trail!
