I called about the stocked trout pond and was told that it was easy to get to and that it was well kept... When we got out there it was not well kept nor was it easy to get to. It is not accessible easily and is quite a hike to get to for something that is advertised on the website as something that is well used. I wish we would have been told that it was trudging through marsh and soft land and trails that are not well maintained to get there before we made the drive out. One of the staff even said to us that it hardly gets used other than by some staff due to the lack of accessibility and having to try and haul your fishing stuff through it to get there. We were very disappointed. Not like the website or the staff person on the phone made it out to be at all.

Great small town course! Best price for 9 holes and a cart I may have ever seen! Portion sizes in the club house are huge and very taste. *no pro shop*

We spent a night in the campground and loved how clean and tidy it was. We found a lovely spot among the trees with a fire pit and table. It had been pouring for the last couple of days so the little remaining firewood was soggy. Off to the local gas station for a dry bundle and on no time we were cooking up hot dogs. What is it about wood cooked hot dogs that makes them so appealing? On the way out the next day we found the one thing we need to complain about. The dump station is on the grass with no gravel. And the drain protrudes out of the ground about 8 inches (200mm). I had to kneel down in the swampy grass to open the drains. No fun!. Personally I don’t like trying to make a liquid flow uphill. So a couple of trucks of gravel would have raised the vehicle above the drain thus keeping one out of the swamp and allowing nature to drain the tanks. Hopefully see this improvement next time we come back.
