Great people! Amazing kids programs! People who really love Jesus attend this church! Have a heart for unity of the body of Christ and for the city of Barrie. A great place to make friends and grow with God :)

I came to Big Church thinking that I would be a part of a great community. On social media, Big Church comes across as a welcoming Church however, I found out right away that it is not. The first day that I attended the service, not one person introduced them-self to me. I remember sitting at the back that day; the Pastors did not even come by to say hi. There are VERY few people who come to this Church and therefore, I was visibly a new person to the congregation. During the time that I attended this Church, I observed what was taking place. There were no more than thirty people who were in regular attendance at this Church (which says volumes). There are even less now because I know of others who decided to leave this Church. The people who attend the Church regularly have cliques, and everybody else is left out. Pastor Sheila and Pastor Greg Neuman, this is one of the reason's why so many people have left Big Church. It is so sad that the Pastors have done nothing to change this; in fact, they are a part of this (clique) and everyone else gets left out. The name of the Church itself is an oxymoron. If it is a Big Church, where are the people? The congregation consists of the Neuman family and some close friends; that's it. The second issue that I take great offence to is the use of God's name. For example, I have seen Pastor Greg state in a sermon that "God told him a person is going to receive Jesus today". He was looking directly at my friend (who is already a Christian). It made my friend incredibly uncomfortable and upset. It makes me angry when somebody uses the name of God to state something that comes from their own thoughts. Another upsetting incident that I witnessed was the Pastors giving a sermon on helping those in need (tides). That same day, a person came in wanting some money for gas because his car broke down (from what I understood). I could see the man's family inside the car. Pastor Greg was talking to the man rudely and refused to give him even one dollar. Pastor Greg and Pastor Sheila need to take this seriously. Many people have been hurt by Big Church; it's time that changes should be made.

Might be small but building in Truth. People building relationships with and through Christ in real ways. People living out their lives coming together to pray and worship the Lord. Not Everything always have to be big to be right. This community has taught me we are called to help build the churches as Pastors stand and hold weekly prayer meetings for city of Barrie and families as well as supporting missions for other global needs. I have listened sermons from Bible and just see them holding fast to what the Bible says ....whenever i have questions or need for counsel I have received teaching on how Jesus works on our souls and character so I can take responsibility for and make changes to be Christ like. Children are such a huge focus with many groups to assist families....kids here are of all ages and reaching out to them through weekly feeding, teen and kids clubs is part of big chrurches routines so the Gospel can be taught to the next generation of hero's. Corporate prayer is weekly small group too. Has to prayerfully fit. GOD BLESS YOU ON YOUR SEARCH
