★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First visit to Big Al's and found it to be a friendly place with a great selection of tasty treats. Service was excellent, and our two selections (Maple Walnut Sundae and Peanut Butter Cup Twister, both kid's size) were excellent, and well-priced.
Looking forward to stopping in again to try out some more good food!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a couple of bison bacon cheddar burgers with a berry relish etc. Huge chunks of bacon. Could have been crisper so one less star. Otherwise you are up there Al, but I have had a lot of manitoba burgers and the bison one was very nice.
Perhaps a rematch next time and I will have a Big AL. I will reserve judgement till then because I have had some gooders. Fries were 5 star. Cheers

Thankful we found this place for several reasons, including the fact that very few restaurants are open on a Monday in southwest Manitoba. It was our gain to find this gem!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love that they’re out there! These fabulous eating establishments!!! My favourite kind of discovery - a quaint restaurant/diner situated and tucked away in a charming Manitoba hamlet/village/town.
I was in the area of Notre Dame Du Lourdes and happy that I stopped here for lunch! I was initially disappointed to be told - pizza is a menu item on weekends, not weekdays at lunch ?
So. I quickly switched gears and ordered a cheeseburger.
There was no hint of disappointment with this burger! Very tasty, generous size, fresh bun - all in all…yummo! ?
Very friendly staff! I will hope to return on a weekend - I definitely want to try one of their thin crust pizza!
A nice little trek from Winnipeg - with a tasty reward when you roll into Notre Dame!
