G	Garry Sutherland on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Al was very prompt in responding to my request for an estimate and when we made the decision to use Big 5 Exteriors, they were quick to get the job done. Allan and Jordan did the installation in one day (including a couple of alterations to the original plan) and were very courteous and professional. I would highly recommend this company.
E	Evan Bayer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had soffit installed this spring to address a condensation issue in our attic. The soffit itself looks fine but we were oversold on the value of it. After removing the wooden soffit, the guy installing it said, “This will really open things up.” We later learned that space between the soffit and attic was completely blocked off by plywood. It would be impossible not to notice this as the one installing the soffit. Instead of letting us know so we could rectify the situation before installing the soffit he said nothing and finished installing. We later had to have another company remove the soffit, drill holes and install tubing to allow for airflow and reinstall the soffit. To add to this, they moved our downspout exposing a faded, unpainted line behind the old one and chipped our painted wood siding in the process. It would have looked significantly better to leave it in the same place. When I called I was told that it improved the function of the downspout. I’m not an expert but don’t see what difference that six inches could make. The owner added that I should have asked the worker to move which I would have if I had noticed before they left. There was no offer to come back and fix it. Lastly, I had to clean up up chips of wood and metal left behind on all sides of our house. I would not recommend this company.

No pressure, no sales pitch, just a straight up conversation. Made the decision right then. Crew ( Brian and ?sorry missed his name) arrived, set up, went to work. Safe , professional, site was always clean. No chatting, no music, just 2 quality tradesmen getting the project done. They noticed a couple spots on second story where the caulk was letting go...they noticed and they fixed...i wouldn't have known if I didn't see them. Site was cleaned up like nothing happened. Great crew. Looks beautiful and have a peace of mind the exterior is solid...no moisture penetrating. Thanks guys! Steve D

I had other companies quote me and there quotes were almost double of what Big 5 quoted me for the exact same work. Derek and Al are a pleasure to work with they know there stuff!! Don't waste your time with other companies out there use BIG 5!! You wont regret it! I would highly recommended this company for any of your homes exterior work. Gio.

C	Cameron Martel on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a great experience we had with Big 5! We moved into our new-to-us home in March, and of course the late-June hail storm thrashed our home. We ultimately replaced the roof, siding, and eavestrough through Big 5. Big 5 was awesome. We called them Saturday morning (the day after the storm) and Derek arrived Tuesday to review our home and get us a quote. He then worked with our insurance company directly, allowing us to do literally anything else vs. manage the claim. That was awesome Derek, thank you :) We opted to replace our vinyl siding with Hardie Board. There was a significant premium for doing so, but we shopped around and felt good about Big 5’s pricing, so we approved the upgrade. What a difference. The house is almost done (we need to get the rim painted) and looks fabulous. Derek helped us pick colours and I think he picked a good combination. The workmanship on the hardie installation is really good (there are multiple homes in my area upgrading to Hardie and I think ours looks the best). I especially appreciate the details that Brian (siding installer) did, such as putting flashing above outlets/fixtures/windows, or howe the siding lines are not uniform (so the wall looks continuous vs. being applied in “sections”). Best of all, the joints are tight and I can tell that no corners were cut. All told, we are very happy with Big 5 and our experience overall. Our new roof/eaves/siding looks great, and Big 5 adjusted downspout placement/etc. To ensure water drains away properly (and that we don’t have downspouts emptying into our dog run).
