Bicycle Garden - Plain Bicycle
This initiative began with a cockamamie plan to bring one shipping container full of pre-loved bicycles from the Netherlands to Winnipeg. ..a bike culture bomb… The idea was to flood the heart of North America with the hallmark of Dutch cycling culture. By importing the quintessential bike type ridden by millions of men, women and children every day – the omafiets or “Grandma’s bike” – we relied on our families, friends, acquaintances and colleagues’ help to foster the growth of a different type of bicycle culture. Together, we made it happen. The rest is history.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I needed a quick front hub/bearing replacement as my front wheel was wobbling a lot and called a couple stores and they both told me they couldn’t fit me in for another 4 weeks. Thankfully I found and called Bicyle Garden and they told me they could accommodate me if I showed up that same afternoon. The guy took my bike in as soon as I showed up and I was able to see him work on my bike and be done within less than an hour! They saved my day and their prices were super fair! HIGHLY recommend this place. I’ll be back there whenever I need something related to my bike for sure!
