She was thorough, and listened to my input and developed recommendations that addressed my concerns, without overly complicating the contract. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went through 2 lawyers, before I met Susan involving her in a complete train wreck through 3 years of constant billings, with myself really in an unfavorable position having spent over $100,000 in legal fees.
When I met Susan I was in complete despair believing all the stories we hear about lawyers and divorce. Well after sharing my story with Susan, she showed emotion, provided council and direction that changed my situation immediately, turning the tables! Even better totally minimized my legal Bill's for the next year by her direction allowing me to catch up from years of paying $3k of month to my ex and another $3k to my prior council on average monthly.
A year after taking Susan's direction we entered into a legal process, that could not be helped as my ex was convinced this would see her succeed.
Understanding law, direction, likely outcomes, familiarity in case law, assessing my personality were all exceptional in comparing my past experiences allowing me to remove any barriers I had after my two prior experiences...
Today, my situation has yet to end, but Susan has done everything to help my situation progress, while solely serving my best interests.
I hope in coming months I can move on and close this chapter of hell, but safe to say I know I wouldn't be where I am without Susan's input.
Even funnier my girlfriend uniquely through her divorce was on other side of Susan, with Susan representing her ex and through her experience played a big part in why I selected Susan.
If I can give any advice... Selecting your lawyer through this journey will be your biggest decision. Make the right decision. I didn't twice, but got it right the 3rd time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband at the time hired Janice Younker in Mississauga. Horrible lawyer who kept him fighting with me to make money. She took MANY holidays! Call Janice Younker’s office and speak to secretary so that your spouse can’t retain her! We wasted 75K each because of her!
Marian Gage and Anne McGrath in Oakville were fabulous! They are friends and know how to settle disputes effectively, with minimal cost. They are the only 2 lawyers I would trust on this entire planet. I’m so grateful to them. Best of luck!?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nothing like discussing how to fight for time with your children while her dog runs around her office. Cancels meetings, then charges you for the time it takes to reschedule. Fails to take care of issues and then charges you for the time it takes you to remind her of the issues she was supposed to take care of. An absolutely horrible experience during a difficult time. Egotistical and unsympathetic. Extremely difficult to reach. I highly recommend you avoid Susan.
