Gravel and dirt bunkers, sand for tee boxes, and patchy grass on greens, not to mention lack of adequate drainage. Instead of fixing these minor agronomy issues, management decided the most pressing task was to spend hundreds of thousands on paving the cart paths. Easily one of the worst courses in the Fraser Valley.

I understand that running a golf course is not an inexpensive thing. But my experience at Belmont was really underwhelming and a disappointment to say the least. Prime time green fee of $70 and cart fee took the total over $90 for a course that had more water in the bunkers than it looks like the fairways have ever had in the summer and it left a bitter feeling. Not a terrible layout and the greens were great, but I will definitely not go back.

First time playing this course. It was challenging but good layout. Bunkers were in rough shape and couldn’t play them. Felt a bit overpriced for the current conditions. Will give it another shot in the summer

If you want to be accused of not paying for your game of golf, this is the place for you! I finished a round of golf today and had a notice waiting in my inbox telling me that not everybody in my group had checked in and paid for their round. I asked my group if they had all paid and they all confirmed that they had paid. I went into the pro shop to see what had happened and was told that two people still needed to pay for their round. Knowing that my group had all paid I asked the staff if there was any chance they had mistakenly checked anybody in under the wrong tee time. In response I was rudely told that it was not possible for the mistake to be on Belmont’s end. I asked what I needed to do to resolve the problem and was told everyone in my group needed to show receipts of our payments in a very accusatory tone. This is tough because the pro shop doesn’t even offer receipts when paying at the start of a round. Luckily, I was able to have everyone in my group show their recent credit card transactions on their phones as proof of payment. After this I asked what had gone wrong in the first place to make this happen, to which I was told β€œI don’t know”. I then asked what could be done so that this doesn’t happen in the future and was told again β€œI don’t know”. This was frustrating to me since something had clearly gone wrong on the part of Belmont golf course, however my colleagues and I were the ones being accused of wrongdoing in a very unfriendly manner. Further, there seemed to be no interest by Belmont’s staff to figure out how to avoid this from happening again, and even after it was determined that the mistake was on Belmont’s end no apology was offered and I continued to be treated in a disrespectful manner. A simple β€œsorry for the mix up” would have gone a long way. All in all, that’s one way to ruin a good day of golf. My advice to anyone playing at Belmont is to ask for your receipt when paying and make sure you hold on to it.

It's a decent course - wish there was a proper driving range on site for a good warm up. Conditions are OK, but tee box maintenance could be improved. Set up can be challenging, especially with holes that have water in play. Overall a good experience, but there are some other courses nearby and up the road that I'd rather play at.

Really fun golf course with great staff and stunning views. Some long par 3's but some other holes that are gettable. Greens were true and the fairways were great. Just wish the tee boxes were in better conditions, some were in really rough shape. Looking forward to playing there again.

3.5 actually. My first round there since the mid-90's and it was quite enjoyable. The course has grown up nicely. Greens were very nice - good speed and true. A few things I'd suggest: - some of the bunkers really need sand. I was only in 1 (#16) and I was basically hitting off clay. - some more fairway yardage markers would be helpful and good for pace of play. 200, 150 and 100 aren't sufficient. - seems to me the course is perfect to set up a blue/white combo tee with its extremely long par 3's. - please reinstate the cart shuttle service to get players up the hills after 9 and 18. That is an extremely difficult walk and it would help pace of play. Overall it was a good morning and if I lived a little closer I'd play it more often. I forgot to mention a safety issue. The staircase leading up to the long par 5 tee box desperately needs to be replaced and have handrails added. I found it incredibly dangerous, especially because it was wet. My personal advice would be to shut down that tee box until you've built a new and much safer staircase.
