They do great amazing work, used them a few months ago. Mind is like a sieve when trying to remember about them but their crew was quick and polite. Great work!

Project manager Darcy I am going to rate a 1/5 Communication was very hard to get through I was lucky if I knew what was going on between Belfor and my insurance broker. I live in a 668 square foot house- the basement needed a restoration after an emergency sewer back up. half of the basement is finished. The first day they had the fans going I was charged for the fans they didn’t run because they tripped the circuit. They could see the exposed outlets and could see that they were all on the same circuit. Knowing the operating voltage of their equipment they should have had the foresight to stick around to see if the circuit would hold. I believe this was a Thursday. If the project manager sees this he can corroborate with his notes on the project as I called it in and told him only 4 fans can run Then the fans stayed on from Friday to Monday and when I called in to ask if the fans should still be running the person who answered the phone (it was either a Nadia or a Natalie, I may have gotten it wrong) seemed surprised that they were still on and instructed I shut them off. I asked why they were not on top of it- the excuse was that they were busy. I don’t see how that’s the customers concern. I don’t blame Nadia (Natalie?) because she was on site first day and did a good job in the initial job clean up- this seems to be the excuse passed down by her management. I shouldn’t be charged for fans they left on and left at my property. They left the carpeting on the basement stairs behind, its contaminated by sewage that’s tracked up and down on the bottom of shoes. The bottom steps made contact with black water. I had called them about this but have yet to hear back. A presswood tool closet which was contaminated was left- and when asked Darcy what would happen to it since it was left after the clean up (it’s contaminated by sewage- presswood swells and takes in water real well) he said it’ll either be handled during clean up (it wasn’t) or rebuild . This makes no sense because at THAT time he wasn’t even sure I would be using them for the rebuild... we went back and forth on that matter and it seems like the quote was fabricated ahead of time before the issue with the fans, stair carpet or utility closet was brought up. When I was given a quote for clean up AND rebuild, it was well over the coverage amount by a couple grand. the project manager said the biggest component was the carpeting. When i asked if I could go with a cheaper option Darcy said I had to go with the carpet quote given by their carpeting company they selected Curtis Carpets. At this point I reserved to just being walked all over by Belfor regardless of trying to be as understanding as possible and just have them do the rebuild- BUT I CALLED CURTIS CARPETS AND THEY SAID I HAD THE OPTION TO CHOOSE A CHEAPER OPTION. Not only that, but this was the standard practice. I wish I remembered who I talked to at Curtis Carpets hut they were EXTREMELY knowledgeable and helped me understand the choices I ACTUALLY had. At this point I decided not to go with Belfor for the rebuild. The price I have to pay for a tiny basement that I don’t even consider a job well done nor finished (the contaminated carpet on the stairs, the contaminated tool closet) is already steep enough. To be fair the workers were all hard working. And when I did get to talk to project manager Darcy he seemed to answer my questions, and seemed confident. Which gave me a sense of confidence - albeit a false sense now that I see what I’m left with. However they constantly had the excuse that they were busy as to why the fans were left on longer than they should have been or why the restoration period took so long or why it was hard to get a hold of Darcy. So do them a favour and go through another restoration agency, as to lighten their load since these guys seem too busy to do a complete job. Know that the restoration company suggested by your insurance agency is NOT who you NEED to select. Still haven’t heard about the tool closet or carpet so I have to go clean that up now.

Tree had fallen on my fence and made it lean into the neighbours yard. They came and put 3 untreated 2x4 steaks in the ground and attached 3 2x4 to the fence leveled it screwed it in and called the JOB compleated.

Belfor was very helpful from start to finish with our recent insurance claim for water in our house. The project manager was quick with follow ups and any questions I had along the way. Staff that were working in my home were friendly. Appreciate the work from Belfor.
