P	PJ L on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just gave Beach Road Steel sales a call and was passed around like a hot potato after asking what a rough estimate would be for a linear span of 35 ft. Finally Jason answered the phone and obviously was not interested in this call. I simply asked what is a standard sizes of beam for a basement, and what lengths are they available in. This is an old home that never had a girder and I want to strengthen the floor. He actually started to shout, "you need an engineer, i'm not gonna engineer your home and get your story straight what do you want 1, 2, or 3". Awful customer service and terrible response to any question a home owner should ask. It is my due diligence to ask the right questions it is my home. I promptly ended call and will continue to search for another steel beam supplier. Advice to anyone making a call to Beach Road Steel Sales, be prepared that any questions asked may turn you into a hot potato, as you may be put on hold for several employees to take stabs at an answer and then ultimately get yelled at for the very question. I hope this review helps someone in the future.

Called today to inquire about some 5X10 checker plate aluminium and they couldn't even tell me if they had any stock. With the money I've spent there in the last year (at least 1000.00.....which might be nothing to them but is alot for me) I was made to feel like I was wasting their time. The girl wouldn't look up anything on the computer for me. As I was coming from over an hour away I just wanted to know if they had any stock. They have lost my business and I'll not recommend them to anybody for future purchases. I ended up going to Metal Supermarkets in Stoney Creek who had the friendliest staff. Not only did they answer all my questions on the phone, I was treated as a valued customer.
