★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Booked a group site through the Discover Camping website in July for a trip on September 10-12th. Arrived at the campsite on September 10th (Loveland Bay) and found our group site full of RV’s Found the campground host and he said they they were not accepting reservations after September 7th and said it must have been an issue with Discover Camping.
I phoned Discover Camping and gave them my confirmation number and they said ok we see your reservation what seems to be the issue? After my explanation they said it is up to the specific campground to decide if they want to take reservations or not and some have turned group sites into multiple first come first served individual sites but I could apply for a refund.
After searching for another 4 hours for a campsite for our groups 3 RV’s we returned home and I filled out the application, now I can wait 6 weeks for my $603.90 refund... I wonder if they will refund me for our day off of work that will now be spent not camping!
