Colleen is incredibly helpful to her guests! While we did not actually get the chance to stay at Bayside due to unforeseen circumstances, we cannot recommend Colleen enough for her help whilst booking. She answered all of our questions and was very accommodating to ensure that our stay would be great!

Loved my time here. The grounds were well kept and spacious. Rates are very reasonable and the office manager Colleen went over and above to make sure our stay was amazing. I would highly recommend this spot to any one looking for a place to camp while in Sechelt.

The owner/manager, Colleen, was extremely rude to us during our stay and is very poorly managing this campground. She seems to respond to all of the negative reviews and shifts the blame onto the guest, but let me tell you, all of the negative reviews are true. Lots of mistakes were made by her and it took most of our day to sort out. We called to ask about campsites while we were driving along the sunshine coast and were told there were sites available. When we arrived, the owner double booked us to a site with the people who checked in immediately before us. We went back to the main office and were given another site. We went there and set up, had lunch, and had been there for a couple of hours at this point. Suddenly the owner told us we had to move out of that site because she double booked us again with the same people as before????? When we told her that we were unhappy with this situation, she yelled that "mistakes happen" and we "only showed up 10 minutes ago" (which was untrue) instead of being apologetic for her mistakes. She forced us to move to an overflow field area, which was directly across from the main office. She continued to talk loudly and badly about us to other people in the campground, and we felt very unsafe. She gave us the night for free because of her mistakes, but we would have paid to stay anywhere else (this was the only vacancy unfortunately). The management here is horrendeous and the owner is very hostile, bordering on aggressive. As for the park itself, there appeared to be no water taps and people were wandering around everywhere looking for water. Trucks drive around all night, the entire place smells like cigarette smoke, and there was an open garbage can right next to where we were forced to set up which is not safe for wildlife. Overall, a horrible stay and would recommend you avoid the headache of Colleen's incompetence and aggression.

Nice older RV campground. Not on the water but a short drive to the beaches and the adventure gets you out to see things you may not have, if it was on the water.. Having hookups was nice in the heat. The campground was full and the washrooms were clean and for a loony you get a great hot shower. The park manager was great, very friendly and offered information on the area that we took full advantage of. Only reason for the 4. star is, there are rvs that are full timers, we had one beside us and we had their loose dog in our campsite a number of times. The owner did clean it up but I didn't want to deal with it with my leashed dog.I would return. Sunshine Coast is a great place to adventure and discover.

Had a wonderful time at Bayside staying for 8 days last summer/fall 2020. It was supposed to be a week, but I miscalculated! We were too relaxed at this lovely campground. Colleen was great about it and very generous and helpful. Great location for us and the pooch and walking distance to the beach across the road. Really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to go back.

Close to everything but, off the beaten path enough to not feel too busy or close to traffic. Perfect for our first camping trip with a 2 year old. Our spot had shade and a nice breeze. Hot showers, wifi and phone charger station was a game changer for us Very nice staff at the office. Recommended a perfect local hike for us to try too! Would happily return

My Husband and I stayed at Bayside during our impromptu trip to the sunshine coast..the place was full but Colleen and Kelsey made sure we had the best overflow site available, welcomed us and showed us outstanding hospitality. We honestly had a connection with Kelsey, and wished we had more time to get to know the owner and host Colleen. She was such an outstanding person, and was probably one of the friendliest person we have met in years. Clean, convenient and felt like home. We love tou guys! Richard and Nate

Stayed 4 nights here with our 28’ camper trailer. Good size sites set right in the bush with lots of privacy. Bathrooms were dated but function well and showers were great and cost a loonie for 6 min which seems to be the norm. Lady Colleen that runs the place is very friendly and very knowledgeable of the area. She gave us lots of ideas on things to do and places to eat in the area. We would definitely stay here again when we come back.
