Food, warmth and camaraderie is what we all need in life .
The oven is a fine facilitator and the operations continue to evolve to reflect the needs of a very diverse community.
That is what Canadians do.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I think that people need to come check the oven out on Bake days. As one who has been involved with this project from day one, I can tell you for certain that this oven exists due to the hard work of a team of many Bayshore residents. Bake days are a celebration of community! People who have come to the bake will tell you that wonderful things have happened. Among the bake team are trained Safe People who have been able to direct residents to many services in the community to benefit their quality of life. It's a shame that some may have been misinformed about what happens at the oven. Yes we bake food and people fill their bellies for just that day, but the human connections they make feed their soul for the long term.
