★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a warm and humid day on Westminster Ave and my mouth was dry as a desert. I came across this little corner store and ventured inside to find some water. I found a standard size bottle and the shopkeeper traded it for a loonie. What a good deal. I was no longer thirsty. Thanks Barchet's Food Store!! :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mean owners , never in my life have I encountered such bad customer service . I live very close to here and began going once or twice a week out of convenience and have since stopped after the owner has basically yelled at me for taking too long while browsing his overpriced goods. He wears very strange vest / polar fleece outfits and has started wearing leopard print sleeves ? i will never darken his door again .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wanted to make english muffins, but did not have all the ingredients to do so, and it was a Sunday so the local grocery store was closed. I came to Barchet’s searching for flour, oil, jam, and hopefully buttermilk. I was happy (and surprised) to find all of this at their location, as they have a wide variety of goods. I foolishly decided to hold all of this in my arms, instead of using one of the baskets that they provide, and while reaching in the fridge for an Arizona brand iced tea, I dropped the bag of flour i had nestled in my arms. The bag had broken, with a tear on the side, and some flour was spilling out. I apologized for the mess, and the owner told me to bring the bag of flour to the counter. She proceeded to tape up the bag with scotch tape and told me to put the flour in an airtight container as soon as I got home, so as to keep the flour from spoiling. I thanked her, apologized once more, and I was on my way. This is the best corner store in Wolseley, and I will be coming here many times over.
