The playing methodology allows for an accelerated development of playing skills. Instead of drilling individual ball skills and techniques, Barca focuses on team play, positioning, spacing, and ball movement, which builds a more complete footballer. Their high performance team's results in sanctioned tournaments last season validated the Academy's style and principles, it was great to see. I can't say enough good things about the coaching staff....very professional, fully committed and dedicated. Many of them have literally uprooted and moved from Spain. The additional admin and support staff have made our entire time at Barca Academy extremely enjoyable. It feels like a family. Granted, it's a pricey academy, but when you break down the training and games per week, it's generally in line with other academies. However, for us, the professional level of coaching is worth it for us and our son.

The coaches are professionals who teach not only the Barca way of playing but Barca values such as respect, teamwork and humility. All the staff are fabulous and our son has grown so much as a player!!

While more costly than other programs around Vancouver, there is little comparison in terms of the quality of this academy. The schedule is always clear and never changes last minute due to weather or any other factors. The level of coaching is excellent. Also, the staff at the top is very organized, responsive, and professional.

In our experience, the focused goalkeeping training was unbelievable, and having the opportunity to travel to the international tournament in Barcelona twice offered world-class experience and independence. I also love the formality - the coaches know every parent and child and greet all with a handshake and smile.

We took part in the 2015 National tournament in Spain, at Camp Nou, where we met some amazing families forming lasting friendships and had many memorable experiences including: face to face with some of the Barca Firsts, attending Champions League game and the Classico! We joined the Barca Escola in the beginning and my son has been at the Academy for three years now witnessing the incredible growth and development of the school. We recently attended the National tournament in Toronto and won U-10 First Place for Vancouver. The excellent management, coaching and organizational staff have made our experience with Barca an amazing and incredibly rewarding experience. The Discipline, values and attitudes that the school enforces is invaluable and I consider this a crucial part of my son's character development. The uniform standards and professionalism add to the sense of being part of something very special. My second son has recently joined the Pre-Academy and is thoroughly enjoying his soccer experience. I would strongly encourage anyone considering a serious commitment to soccer development to join Barca! Technical instruction and feedback is superior. The staff is friendly, professional and love their jobs. This makes a great impact on the kids. I cannot say enough about how great our experience is. Aside from teaching the game and skills, the Academy also fosters a friendly and positive environment on and off the pitch. The coaching staff is top notch. Highly recommend this academy!

The creation of the high performance team has given my son the ability to play on a team in a competitive league and develop further. The opportunities to travel to Spain and play in the Barcelona international tournament is a lot of fun and worth the trip!

Over these a few years our son’s soccer skills have improved so much, as well as his enthusiasm to soccer! The coaches and staff are very dedicated and professional. Compare to many other local soccer programs Barça is pricey, but from our point of view it is worth for its quality, and most importantly for the player’s growth. We are happy that our son had such a rich soccer experience. Thanks to Barça Vancouver!
