Ban Chok Dee Thai Cuisine-Maple Ridge - Maple Ridge

Great restaurant, always very friendly staff and quick service, they use freshest produce and everything we’ve tried so far was amazing. Kids absolutely love this place, especially the kids drinks and deep fried bananas with ice-cream.

Food is good but I’ve gone a few times now for lunch and ended up being charged extra for things that I wasn’t notified was extra. For example the server asked if I wanted prawns and I said yes but she didn’t tell me it was $3/$4 extra(and only 3 little prawns in my dish) at another time I ordered a regular lunch special with chicken which usually runs about $15ish, I get the bill for $18 cause they’re charging $2 for the chicken and $1 for rice? I’ve been going for months and have never seen such a charge. Servers should be notifying their customers if something costs extra, especially if it was implemented recently with no notice on their menus. A little disappointing I probably won’t be going back due to this.

I love Thai Food & I have been wanting to try this place for a while now. This restaurant is beautiful & the service from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave is top notch. Our server Orawan was amazing! We ordered the following: Cocktails - Drunken Monkey & Sexy Devil. Both were absolutely delicious & very well made. The Sexy Devil reminds me of one of my favourite drinks the Cohiba & the Banana liqueur in the Drunken Monkey really made the drink. Stuffed Chicken Wings - omgoodness, these wings were amazing & like nothing I've ever had. They are super crispy on the outside & the stuffing on the inside was delicious! The sweet sauce on the side was a great accompaniment. Spicy Calamari - the Calamari was cooked perfectly & it had a nice slightly spicy seasoning on it. It came with large salad & a delicious sauce that once poured over the dish really brings it all together. Herbal Prawn Salad - this was a very hearty salad with 10 good sized prawns & everything from green apples to mint to Thai chilies all on a bed of lettuce with a Tamarind dressing. It had the perfect balance of sweet, spicy & salty. Five Spice Fish - a nice deep fried basa fillet with veggies & rice in a sweet sauce. All the elements of this dish worked harmoniously well together. FBI (Fries Bananas w/Ice Cream) - we decided to get the Coconut Gelato with this dish. The Bananas were perfectly deep fried in a light batter. The coconut gelato was creamy with great coconut flavour. It was a great way to end the meal & the generous portion made it easy to share. Overall, as far as Thai restaurants go this is definitely one of my favourites & if they served decafe coffee, it might just make it my favourite ?. I look forward to coming back! Went with my girlfriends and ordered different items across the menu including Tom Yum Going soup and Crying Tiger Beef salad. All dishes were absolutely delicious! We were well taken care of by our server Lynn. Thank you.

It has been our restaurant of choice for Thai. I’ll rethink that after being told 50min. And waiting another 30 minutes for a total of an hour and 20 minutes whilst watching many people come get their take out orders. One person had to go to work with no supper, and another person ended up late for their visit with friends. ??‍♀️ Lucky the food is so good, but prob going to the competition after this doozy.

Amazing food, amazing service. Cleanliness throughout the restaurant is amazing. Great taste, by far the best Thai restaurant in Maple Ridge, hands down. Comfortable environment, we went for lunch, staff were welcoming and courteous. Food was fresh and out in 15 min, we went during downtime. Thank you for your great service, we’ll be back!

Highly Recommend this restaurant. This was the best experience I have had with staff at a restaurant in a long time, very friendly and personable. The portion sizes were very good for the price. You can tell the owners take pride in the restaurant as it is very nice inside. Order one step spicier than you want, if you want medium order hot etc as the medium was very mild, but food was very good overall!

Second time around and they didn't disappoint in terms of the food or the service. The appetizing starters (chicken satay, veg n chicken spring rolls) set the ball rolling and whet our appetites for the main course to follow. The mains were pineapple fried rice with yellow curry, pad Thai, Thai chicken fried rice. All the dishes were one better than the other. The spice levels were accurate. The entire family gorged down the food, which left no space for any dessert (a promise to myself for next time ?). Will recommend this place to anyone who would like to taste some delectable Thai cuisine. Kudos to the chef ?.
