★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service was great, our waitress was nice and attentive. The food was alright, nothing blew my mind. Had the polpette di fungi and the fritto misto as entrees, tried the Bigoli con Anatra (pasta with duck ragu) and the Manzo (braised and grilled wagyu beef) for mains and for dessert we had the chocolate budino. Again food was alright nothing special. I rather go to di beppe which is a restaurant by the same owners (I think).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located on the main floor of The Fairmont Vancouver, Giovanni Bacaro Restaurant Bar is a convenient casual place to catch up with friends for drinks and tapas. I wouldn’t recommend this for dinner because the menu selection is quite limited and our table found the food very underwhelming. My friends described their entrees as overly salty after ordering duck ragu and the ravioli special. I had the baby octopus which was quite nicely flavored with a generous side of white beans. Instead I would recommend the Fairmont atrium for drinks and food elsewhere on Robson nearby.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An absolutely fabulous meal in a really chic restaurant with a great vibe. Super friendly and attentive service. Really loved their elegant dim sum / tapas style dishes. Perfect for sharing. Some of the outstanding highlights included their potato chips, Culatello di Modena, Truffle burrata and Risotto di gó. The finest interpretation of Venitian Bacaro food I have ever had and a must return next time we are in town!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent meal overall. The chicken liver and the risotto (great balance between the richness from the cheese and the acidity from the berry) were my favorite. The tiramisu was solid too. Also enjoyed looking at the interior decor of the restaurant while I was waiting for my food (didn't have to wait too long, the food was brought out fairy quick).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Look at me happy with my carpaccio, next dish is risotto. All through the dinner we kept saying "very good". This dine out was worth it. Service was very good too. I recommend this establishment. Hooray!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice spot for a wine and good food. The entries are nice, like tapas. Small portions and tasting good. Pastas are also good and the portions are small as well.
Wine in glass comes perfect because of the winematic (enomatic).
