I called the number on the gift certificate, reception answered (whom I must say was great), I informed I had a gift certificate for an oil change. She asked a few questions because it had been a while since they offered a gift certificate. All was confirmed and we made the appointment. I even booked additional service with them that I was going to pay shop rate for just to help provide some paying business. The shop is in Madoc and I am 45 minutes driving one way. I went for my appointment today and when I arrived they told me they would not honour the gift certificate because it was issued by the previous business owner. It was a total waste of time and money to make the trip. They kept the same phone number, same clients and basically the same name but wouldn't honour the gift certificate. They quoted just under $100 for the oil change alone, just in case I still wanted to go ahead with it. I asked if any discount could be applied - I did already pay for the gift certificate... nothing. I find this to be a very poor reflection on the administration and morals of this business. An oil change is a small expense for a shop and the way this was handled leads me to believe that warranty or other decisions that have to do with making the right decision would not end up in the interest of the customer. It is upsetting to see this especially in a small-town business. Definitely not a business I will visit again or recommend.

I was advised that my front and rear brakes needed work. He said to hold off on the front ones for now. I also had 2 safeties down on motorcycles. He kept to the schedule in those instances too. Prices are reasonable. Steven and Sienna and both very friendly too.
