★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I didn't know where to begin when selecting a company to survey my residential property. I contacted another land surveyor in Hamilton and was less than impressed with the responses I received. I then happened upon a survey crew that was working on my concession road. The Party Chief, David Ball, was very approachable, helpful and polite. He gave me his business card for his company - B. A. JACOBS SURVEYING LTD. When I returned home I checked with the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors and was informed that Mr. Jacobs was a licensed surveyor and an active member of the Association who was in good standing. I contacted Mr. Jacobs and received a prompt, concise response outlining a cost estimate to survey my property along with "setting" any monuments/stakes I may require.
I met with the survey crew when they arrived. ALL members of the crew were very helpful, personable, polite and ready to answer any and all of my questions. They were also very professional and diplomatic when confronted by the owner of the adjoining property who was quite "inquisitive" about the survey being conducted. It was quite evident from speaking with the crew that they possessed an appreciable amount of technical knowledge and experience in land surveying. The official survey report for my property was completed and delivered in a timely manner. I would unreservedly recommend this company to anyone wanting a land survey to be conducted.
