★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am not qualified to speak about this club but it should be apparent to anyone who has lived in Edmonton for a while that it is one of those Edmonton's own things/organization - like the Shaw Conference Center, Jasper Ave, the River Valley, the 'Southside', the West End, West Ed, 97st, 118, 107, WHYTE AVE, Terwillegar, Millwoods, Low Level Bridge!! Winterburn, 215st, Stephen Mandel, Ralph Klien, Each downtown subway station, and the nearby Giant Baseball Bat, I can't imagine a generation or two ago, before smart phones and when the internet was a Theory, there were people who would gather at the curling club and, well, curl. And they thought of themselves as hockey superstars and each time they played they would remember the depth of history their sport had. I hardly hear about the sport these days, perhaps too many other 'distractions'
