★ ★ ★ ★ ★ By far, one of the BEST, smaller family-run European grocery stores in the City! I used to live close by and would visit daily but since moving away, I go less often, much to my dismay :-( If you are looking for hard to find delicious Euro products, this is your go to place. But beyond the extremely well-stocked shelves of jams, condiments, cookies, pastas and the like, you will find the most yummy delicious home prepared meals, desserts, breads and salads. Treat yourself to lunch there and you will be hooked! Their shnitzle is the best I have tried, not greasy and cooked to perfection - get some early as they usually sell out daily! I can honestly say that I have never had a bad meal from Atlantique. If you are a smoked salmon and gravlax fan, look nowhere else! They smoke their salmon in-house and the taste is like nothing you've ever tried (and yes, my mouth is watering just thinking about it right now!).
The other side of loving this jewel of a store is the personnel - kind, caring, always smiling, mutli-generational and family-run. They take great pride in what they are serving you and it shows to a T - they must be doing something right to be in business for over 57 years, sometimes the numbers pretty much speak for themselves!
I highly highly highly recommend Atlantique - for the prepared meals, for the breads and desserts, for their amazing cuts of meat, deli, fish and small beautiful produce next to the cash - all served to their loyal customers with a smile and a chat - a true biz model for customer service!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Seems like a very interesting place to explore for German/Austrian delicacies.
I went in December, and they had a lot of different kinds of Stollen, marzipan chocolates... Etc. I have not yet tried the butcher part but looking forward to try one day. I saw a lot of different kinds of cured meat and sausages in the show case.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good variety of products. Those sausage are authentic from Germany and I’m pretty sure that you can’t find better german sausage in Montreal. So if you are looking to do a choucroute this is the place to go.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always an experience. People at the cold cuts and cheeses are really willing to help you. If you explain to them your need they will point out different options for your particular case. A few friends visiting you tomorrow? What about a nice tray of cold cuts and cheeses? Do you need help pairing cheeses? They help. Your problem is going to be what to choose. The place is full of the most amazing variety of delicacies from Europe. Chocolates, jams, mustard, candies, teas, cookies, you name it.They always have freshly baked European breads. I try to visit them multiple times during the year just to discover what new treasures they are offering. Did I said yum? My kind of place.

I was cashing out and a woman, presumably the one in so many other bad reviews, swept by and snatched the basket the cashier had just taken my groceries out of and said "bloody Americans!", took the basket and slammed it down in the stack by the doorway. It was really unbelievable, since it had been moments since the basket had been emptied of purchases and I hadn't yet paid- there was not even a period in which I could have yet possibly returned the basket to the stack. Photo attached, since as I scroll looking at previous reviews, it seems to be their recurring tactic to question whether reviewers actually did go into their shop at all. Will never return again and suggest keeping less personable assets in the back of house where their poor social skills are best suited.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the type of market where a jovial man will tell you all about how the cherries by the register are excellent. If you go doing the day, it is filled with older ladies who are generally in a good humour. Overall, a pleasant place to buy some liverwurst. They have a variety of other European items, not just German stuff, like the Polish linden tea I took a picture of. I wish I lived in the area so I could come more often and have ongoing chats with the nice staff—it’s the kind of place that makes you feel nostalgic even if you have never experienced such an environment before.
