I called their help line to get information and got in touch with Dawn Malowany. She was incredibly helpful, gave me sage advice, and pretty much immediately confirmed that ATB was the right choice for me. The program(s) they have for small/new businesses is excellent (no fees for the first 12 months, BoostR, etc.) A month later when I was ready to set everything up, I got back in touch with Dawn and she was beyond helpful. She set everything up with a local branch, and gave me more sage advice - and within a day I was up and running with a business account. The banking element is one thing, and to be sure, ATB is a fantastic option for entrepreneurs. What impressed me the most though, was just how genuinely invested Dawn seemed to be in my venture from the first time we spoke. She remembered me when I called her month later, assisted with my account set up, and the next day spent a ton of time with me on the phone going over options, giving additional advice, and pointing me towards other sources of capital and mentorship (e.g. ATB's BoostR program). So my sincere kudos to Dawn and ATB for making the process (unexpectedly) simple, straightforward, and friendly. I'm sure I'm in good hands.

Mark does not return phone calls, you need to keep calling and leaving messages and good luck in getting any response. He seems to read his emails but then is "too busy" to reply. I have been waiting 4 weeks to get a loan approved - the promised timeframe was 2 weeks. Do not recommend.

He is so patient and goes beyond expectations in finding solutions. He is such a tremendous addition to ATB. As a small business owner, I appreciate knowing someone has my back.

She was friendly and helpful, and listened intently to what we would like to see in a banking relationship. She was also very informative about ATB and their desire to see small businesses in Alberta grow & succeed. She helped steer me in the right direction for our small business banking needs, and sent an email with valuable links and tools. We will be seeking out the ATB Entrepreneur Centre as soon as possible. It seems as if ATB really does CARE.
