About Association for Community Living
On April 23, 2019, Charlie Genaille had the honor of joining Wayne Ewasko – MLA for Lac Du Bonnet, on a private tour of the Manitoba Legislative Building in Winnipeg. Charlie shows a keen interest in politics within our country, so he was absolutely thrilled to partake in this exciting new experience.
The day started off by taking a tour through the Legislative building, and seeing the office that Wayne works out of during sessions. After that, they had a lunch break where they were able to meet a number of other MLAs, followed by the opportunity to sit in on a question period as Wayne’s special VIP guests, where they were acknowledged by everyone in the room. Charlie was able to sit above all of the MLAs from across Manitoba, and listened to the different opinions being thrown back and forth from the various governments. It was very interesting, and got quite heated at times.
The day ended off by taking a number of different photos throughout the building. The highlight of the whole trip was the opportunity to meet Premier Brian Pallister and getting to snap a photo with him. The Premier expressed that he was very impressed with how professional and well-dressed Charlie was.
