Jake and his team were professional, responsive, and did an outstanding job pruning our hedge and fruit trees. We look forward to hiring them again next year and have already referred them to several friends.

After decades of having other companies do our annual trimming of trees, shrubs and hedges, including a cedar hedge that is about 20 feet tall and 80 feet wide, we were most fortunate this year to have engaged Ascent. They are the best and we highly recommend this cost-competitive company. Jake and Trevor did an excellent job, were entirely open to everything we asked of them, and readily re-visited that massive hedge when we asked them to lower it further. Their clean-up was meticulous, including (without our asking) taking away a pile of yard waste that we had accumulated ourselves. We definitely intend to call them back next year.

Ascent yard care did our hedges trimming. They did a awesome Job. there is one complaint the fellas never gave me a date that they would show up. Lucky I was home when the crew arrived. Will definitely use them again.

A wonderful team arrived and trimmed, shaped and provided us a great frame work on our little over grown yard. We didn't want to just hack away..but their pruning knowledge gave us peace of mind. Loved the detailed walk through before.

I engaged Jake to trim some branches, remove two dead hedge shrubs, and clean up the front yard. After their visit, I had to call Jake to alert him that his workers did not fertilize my hedge, nor take out the two dead trees from the hedge---both which I had paid for. In the front I wanted to expand my garden to include more of the landscape. I was charged $300 for bark mulch, and $200 for the boys to take the top layer of sod off before laying the bark mulch down Two weeks after the work, I noticed the weeds coming up. It became a mess. In checking, I discovered that some areas had about 1 inch of mulch., nowhere was there the 3 inches the workers said was put down to prevent the weeds, since landscape paper wasn't being used. and I had asked why not? I asked Jake to come out and see what a poor job his workers had done. He appeared to have already decided he wasn't going to do anything about it. He did admit there were a fair number of weeds, "but that should be expected". The mulch was to prevent weeds, but it needed to be deeper than was placed. When I asked him about this, he stated that they didn't know how big the area was. He quoted me $300 without knowing how large the area was. I've had two other gardeners come to give me quotes to fix this mess. They both said the amount of bark mulch was less than $100 worth. I offered to pay for the landscape paper and the workers would rake off the mulch, weed, and lay down the mulch cover and do a proper job. Jake refused, and his only offer was that they would rake back the mulch, then weed. Everything else I would have to pay for. He stated that he would put me on a wait list and fit me in eventually. No priority there to fix anything. It's disappointing that Jake did not stand behind his reputation. I thought I had done due diligence by finding him on the Neighbourhood blog. I would not recommend his services, as he does not stand behind the competency of his workers or their work.

Called them for a quote and Jake arrived on time, gave me a price and stuck to it. Our hedges and garden have never looked better!

We had Jake’s team from Ascent Yard Care come out to do a huge fall clean-up, and tree and shrub pruning at the end of November, 2021. They were extremely professional and thorough in their work, and we were very pleased with the job that they did. We will definitely contract with them again to do more work for us in future.

We called Jake at Ascent Yard Care for a quote on trimming our cedar hedge, topping a maple tree and a couple of other trimming jobs at our place on Tanner Ridge. Jake came right way and we settled on what I believe a fair price for the work required. Jake is easy to talk to and demonstrated a good knowledge of his trade. We set a date, his two man team arrived exactly when they said they would, and they did an outstanding job. We are very pleased with Jake and his team and the results of their work. We will definitely use them for our next trimming job and are pleased to recommend the services of Ascent Yard Care to others.
