★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Why I am spending this time to write a review, it’s just trying to help people like me. To be honest, this is a very worse place to go. My friend refer this workshop as I don’t have any idea about how to choose a good workshop for my car and I trust my friend too. Hence what happened !!! They provided very bad service and charged more money. Without my consent they started working on it with high estimate, I was planning to tow my car to another workshop from that stupid place but the owner lady behaved very rudely and asked me to pay the diagnostic fee, which was never mentioned to me before they admitting the car. If you really care about your car go some other place after checking online reviews plz.
For your information, Mechanics have no right to ask the diagnostic fee unless they mentioned prior it to you. They should have to mention or need to take an authorization (written or email) from the customer.
I have contacted the consumer protection officer and explained my concern he advised me this.
They didn’t do anything and started arguing with me on it.
These people double charged all parts, whoever I counsulted told me they are charging too much money for the parts as I am not too much knowledgeable before about cars and it’s parts. Finally I insisted to repair my car with them. Already they took more time to repair my car. At last I got my car back but they didn’t find out the main issue with the engine.
When I went to other workshop they checked everything properly and noticed me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had the brakes bled; transmission oil and differential fluid flushed; and check engine light checked.
Knew I'd been bamboozled straight out the gate- the brakes felt just as spongy and to the floor as they did when I brought the car in, indicating that they never actually bled the brakes.
2 days later the check engine light was back. It seems all they did was hit clear, and never actually fixed the root issue. But they happily charged $120 for the "diagnostics"
Fast forward 6 months, I took it in to a dealership to get everything checked out and here are the issues they found:
- The front brakes were assembled completely wrong. They put the left bracket on the right and the right on the left. Furthermore, the front passenger side brake had been seized for quite some time, which Arvalet hadn't even bothered to mention to me.
- The transmission fluid was never flushed. Either they didn't even do it or they took it out and put it right back in. The fluid was completely burnt (the car had been driven 3000km in that time, flush intervals are 45,000km)
Avoid this place like the plague. I should have listened to the other reviews mentioning dishonesty which unfortunately is far too common in this industry.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super impressed with the staff and service at Arvalet Auto Centre! Had my car towed there late Thursday evening, and Greg called me to let me know they had my car and to ask me what was going on with it. The staff called me Friday afternoon with the diagnosis of what was wrong and with a breakdown of the estimated costs and to ask if I'd like to go ahead with their proposed repairs. Felt totally comfortable asking questions, didn't feel pressured at all, and I felt like they were very upfront about everything. My car was fixed very quickly and at a reasonable price! I will definitely return if I have any other car trouble and I'm already recommending to my friends and family. Great service, so appreciated the upfront communication, good prices, overall a great experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I could not recommend the staff and owners at this shop more highly. The day before christmas eve, a few hours before they were closing for their holidays, and they were going out of their way to find tires for me or recommend places I could try closer to where I lived. They really wanted to help. In the end, their prices were the best for tires and balancing/rims. They went and picked them up immediately for me from their warehouse so that they were ready when I arrived. They checked everything out on my car that I had concerns about, as I was doing a long distance drive in just a few days, even knowing that they were closing and I would likely not be able to give them the business for any repairs that would be needed. They showed me possible issues, gave my dog water and really were just all around lovely people. I will definitely seek to give them more business in the future. Honest, friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. Thank you!!!!!!!
