My child thoroughly enjoys all of her (in-person and virtual) classes at Arc. Their classes are engaging, enriching, and super fun. They put a lot of thought into the curriculum, and are sensitive to the individual needs of the child. Highly recommended!

My children, ages 9 and 11, have taken two semesters of STEAM and both do private tutoring at the Arc Education Centre. I can't say enough about their amazing experiences at Arc. The STEAM lessons are taught by an amazingly talented teacher, Helen, who adds many layers to each lesson. She turns a run-of-the-mill science/engineering experience and adds elements of economics, geography, art and social skills into the lesson. As a former secondary teacher, I was blown away by what my kids were doing and learning! They have made creative, class engineering projects, extracted DNA, and many more engaging activities. Both of my children also take private tutoring lessons. My daughter was too timid to take an art class on her own so we signed her up with private lessons with Miss Vicky. Miss Vicky has been so kind and patient with my daughter. She pulls my daughter's interests into the art lessons which my daughter loves. One day my daughter brought in her water colors to show Miss Vicky and on the spot she did in spur of the moment water color class. My daughter has learned a great deal about sketching and I am seeing the fruits of these classes in her drawings at home. My son needed some help, encouragement and guidance in Language Arts. I've often asked if he would like a tutor and he's always been too embarrassed to work with anyone other than me. After one semester at STEAM with Miss Helen, he was all for working with her. She has been so kind and gentle with my son who has so much anxiety around reading and writing. In just the few months that she has been working with him, he is suddenly reading for fun, has read SEVERAL books, and has asked for books while out shopping. All of these milestones are major for my son who has really struggled with Language Arts. During the sessions, Miss Helen has pulled in my son's interests to create an wonderful writing project. He really looks forward to every session and meeting at Arc Education Centre. The best thing, however, about Arc Education Centre is the warmth, kindness and energy you get from Helen, Vicky and Ben (the music teacher). These three amazing teachers have created an environment that fosters learning in a truly inviting environment. Both of my children love going to their classes and feel safe to learn and explore with their teachers. Our time at Arc Education Centre has been a rewarding experience and I am so glad that we found them!

My kids (ages 7 and 9) have been taking art classes at Arc Education with Vicky, the art director, for 2 years and counting. My children and I were looking for an instructor to demonstrate techniques, explore different medium, encourage individual creativity, and help them discover their own styles. Vicky is patient, kind and friendly with her students (and parents). My children love being in her creative scholar classes. My children have taken Intro to Music with Ben, the music director. The program explored music in many different ways and it inspired my children to continue exploring them at home. From fellow students and parents, I have also heard wonderful feedback about Helen, the STEAM director. Her classes are almost always booked full. One of the best things I appreciate about Arc Education is that my kids were able to do a free trial (art and music) before committing to any program.

My son just finished a week of the ARC Summer Virtual camp and I have nothing but the HIGHEST Praise to this camp. I didn't know what to expect but I have been very impressed by the well thought out and very well organized activities which support the instructional lessons. The lessons and activities/experiments are so interesting and not your typical predictable science experiment. There is thought, purpose to each step which the instructors explain very well. I love how well organized the materials come in, neatly packaged and labelled with absolutely everything included so you never have to scramble for materials. And about the instructors: Ben, Vicky and Helen are super engaging and know how to make every class fun and interesting for the kids! In one week, they had an amazing coverage of each element of STEAM and the projects that the kids made were so cool and interesting and fun to learn. There was a lesson on the impact of Oil Spill on ocean animals and the activity to pair with the lesson was so impactful, it really helped my son understand the magnitude of the impact of an oil spill, at such a young age. Even as a parent helping him in the art project, I was completely so interested in creating the artwork because it was that much fun! I also really appreciated them not rushing to finish when there was a day that they went over time. They really cared that each child finished their work before ending the session. They really are gifted to work with kids. Thank YOU Ben, Vicky and Helen! We've tried other STEAM and science camps and this camp **by FAR** is the best camp we've experienced. Will definitely re-enroll. I Highly recommend this camp for anyone considering a STEAM camp for their child.
