About Arborg Family Dental

Dr. Elham (Elle) Mohassel-Mofrad was born in Tehran, the capital of Iran and raised in Paris, France. She received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) in 2003 and practiced in her private office until coming to Canada.

She successfully completed the NDEB (National Dental Examination Board) equivalency process and the board exams on her first attempt and was then licensed in Canada 2017.

Over the years Dr. Elle has taken many different specialty dental courses to improve on her skills, and enable her to help patients with more complex cases. While Dr. Elle enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, her main areas of interest are root canal therapy, prosthodontics and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Elle prides herself on providing a beautiful healthy smile to all of her patients.

Dr. Elle is an active member of the Canadian Dental Association (CDA), Manitoba Dental Association (MDA), Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO) and the Iranian Dental Association (IODA).

With her extensive background, Dr. Elle is fluent in not only english, but French and Farsi as well. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. Travelling with her family is one of her favourite past times, along with playing piano, horse riding and introducing new languages to her household.

As of March 2019 Dr. Elle has been providing quality dental care through a variety of services to the lovely Interlake community. As the owner of Arborg Family Dental, her practice philosophy is based upon a mutual trust, respect and openness with all of her patients. Dr. Elle embraced the small town lifestyle and cares for each and every patient as if they were her own family. She understand that the overall well-being of her patients is just as important as their dental health and strives to make sure all of her patients are happy and healthy.

I was told by 2 other people the dentist would probably push for a root canal.. he did. I was given 2 options.. extract or root canal. He did not mention there were other options. Talking to other people there are other options. I was told that the root canal would be $2000.00. Not sure how much it is other places. Will be looking into it. So we did he first step.. 500 dollars that day. Told me I could come back the next day to get the second step.. that was another 500..I live out of town an told them that 2 times befor the app. An that I had to get it done that day. They said yes. Again.. didnt work out. During the 1st step of the root canal the tooth broke.. u think they would know an if it would hold up for a root canal.. 5 days later the filling they put in fell out.. the tooth continues to break. I would rather have got it extracted. I've been having pain. But refuse to go back to this place. I'll be looking for a dental office where they know what they are doing.. horrible experience. An pushy.. but I guess I would be pushing people for a root canal if they are 2000 a pop

So they checked it out and said extraction or root canal were the options as the one tooth was causing the abscess. So before we got started I asked for a quote so I knew what we were getting ourselves into. It would be done in 2 phases and was going to cost $822. When we were finished after the second appointment the bill came to $70 more then originally quoted. I questioned them and they agreed it was more but said the filling had been one stage higher so had to be more. I told them a quote is a quote why I should take the hit. Had they said it would cost $900 in the beginning all is good I could decide yet at that point but you can’t just change your price when you tell a patient a price to begin with. I like supporting small town businesses but not ever going back. Honesty and customer appreciation is what these guys need.

The staff is really friendly, and show personal interest in you. They take you through the steps of any procedures they are performing and check in on you though out to make sure your comfortable. I highly recommend this office if your in the market for a new dentist. Very friendly and informative staff, some very cool imaging tech, and fantastic service. Looking forward to them caring for my teeth for years to come.

The staff are all friendly and personable, just as they have been over the years! COVID precautionary measures were all in place effectively, making it feel like a very safe visit. Dr. Elle was quick to answer my questions and the procedure was quick and comfortable. I would definitely recommend Dr. Elle and the rest of the staff at Arborg Family Dental.

My last visit I had a tooth extraction I felt virtually no pain whatsoever a good experience?. I would recommend to try arborgfamily before anybody else
