Who are we?

Arborg Christian Fellowship started in July 1977 as a Sunday school initiative by two ladies of the community (Mrs. Elnora Kroeker and Mrs. Rose Orbanski). Soon after this start, with the help from Village Missions Arborg Christian Fellowship started growing into the mature church it is today.

The Bible is our starting point

Arborg Christian Fellowship wants to be a Bible based church community. The Bible is God’s Word and all that it contains is still very relevant today. We as a church community want to use God’s Word as a support and foundation for our lives.

Growing Community

We want to be a church community, open to all people who want to follow Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, while joyfully and sincerely leaving space for each other to grow; growing in Faith, mutual fellowship, and number.
We are constantly amazed and we constantly rejoice about all the wonderful things God is doing in our lives and in our church community. He changes people, because the message and the Good News of what His Son has done for us is really transforming people’s lives.
We as members of His church worship and praise Jesus, while encouraging each other in our daily walk with Him.

What we believe

• We believe that there is one living and true God, creator and sustainer of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
• We believe that God the Father is the basis of all truth, the standard of all goodness, the measure of all beauty, who supplies providential care for all that He has made and loved.
• We believe that Jesus Christ is Lord, God incarnate, fully human and fully divine, one person forever, and He is the truth whom we seek and adore. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. Jesus lived a sinless and obedient life, atoned for sin by His death on the cross, rose bodily for our justification, and ascended to glory where He now mediates on behalf of His people. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
• We believe that The Holy Spirit, who is sent from the Father and the Son, convicts the world of sin and to testify to Christ. The Holy Spirit renews, empowers, teaches, guides, comforts, and encourages God’s people to live a holy life, to witness and to work for the Lord Jesus Christ in order to become more like Him.
• We believe that Holy Scripture, being the Old and New Testament, as originally given is divinely inspired, complete, entirely trustworthy, and authoritative for faith, life and conduct. It is to be believed as God’s instruction, obeyed as God’s command, and trusted as God’s pledge.
• We believe that The Church, the body of Christ, is composed of all true believers. Local churches, as the visible presence of Christ’s body, are called to declare the Good News of salvation through worship, discipleship, and witness among the nations.
• Human beings are created male and female in the image of God. They are called to glorify God, to live in communion with God and with one another, and to be stewards of God’s creation. All people fail to live up to this calling. They are sinners by nature and by choice. Therefore, people are justified and renewed only by accepting the grace and mercy of God, poured out in the crucified and risen Son, who is received by faith alone.
