I've worked with Approach Media for more than a year on a number of related videos and I've always trusted the film-making skills of Matt, Jayce and Eva. They work hard to get the best shot and bring life to inanimate objects, which isn't easy. All three of them have great ideas when filming on-site but also enjoy collaborating to make sure you get what you want.

His eye for detail is massively valuable when working on documentary projects but Jayce also has a beautiful style that translates into thoughtful edits, soundtrack, use of b-roll and animation to bring otherwise dull information to life. I recently worked with Approach Media on a mini-documentary for The Narwhal called Coal Valley: The quiet story of B.C.'s water contamination crisis. That documentary was selected to screen at the Elements Film Festival and is up for a national award with Canada's Digital Publishing Awards. From project inception to production to project management to being up on a mountain in the snow to get that one epic shot - Approach Media is truly an amazing outfit to work with. We already have our next film project with them booked. I can't say enough nice things about this team and can't wait to get our next project up and out to the world!

Look at the demo reels and pay attention to the played out compositions and stereotypical stylistic choices. By the time I heard back from them about our project we had already moved on, thankfully. Lots of glitz and glam to get you to contact, the rest is just meh at best.
