If it were possible to leave several negative stars, I would. My advice is to avoid booking this property which, at the time of this review, is managed by Bi-Port properties/BiPort properties. It is by far the worst experience I have ever had with a property from the point of booking. I would not want anyone else to endure what we have gone through. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to Agoda.com for holding this property accountable and for ensuring that I received a full refund. It may have taken almost 7 weeks but we got there in the end. This property: i) allowed incorrect details on its Agoda listing. As of writing this review, if you search for the property after entering the age of young children, the listing appears and the the listing continues to say, under property guest policies-> under children and bed policies -> all children are welcome. To be very clear, all children are NOT welcome. Older children are welcome. ii) changed more than one of its terms and conditions of its property via email AFTER taking a fully nonrefundable booking at the point of sale. It's public terms and conditions are as follows: a) Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. b) This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties. c) A damage deposit of CAD 600 is required on arrival. This will be collected by credit card. You should be reimbursed within 7 days of check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full by credit card, subject to an inspection of the property . After booking, these became: a) All guests staying at property MUST BE PRESENT AT CHECKIN b and c) A security deposit of $600 will be required at checkin and refunded at check out. The property MUST NOT BE USED FOR SOCIAL GATHERING, EVENTS OR PARTIES. This includes having people over NOT on the reservation. This is strictly enforced and may result in lose of deposit, booking fees and removal from the property if not adhered too. These rules are completely unreasonable to impose after a booking as been made. They should be clearly stated on their listing (I still can't find these T&Cs there as of writing this review). iii) inexplicably wrote to us in caps lock and adopted a communication style that made me feel unsafe and highly uncomfortable dealing with the property whatsoever. The Agoda customer service agent was apologetic but they didn't need to be as this wasn't Agoda's fault. iv) accused me via their agent of booking "4 guests never stating that 2 of them would be children". This statement was made despite the fact that my booking confirmation clearly stated 2 adults and 2 children. v) implied that we might be breaking quarantine rules in Canada, even though we had completed our mandatory quarantine period. vi) refused to give us a full refund despite all of the above. They kept one night as a penalty/cancellation fee despite us being forced to cancel because of the mistakes on their listing, the changes in their T&Cs after booking and making us feel uncomfortable with their communication. vii) Thankfully, Agoda.com stepped up to refund us the night that the property refused to hand over and this refund arrived promptly and with an apology. It took almost 7 weeks and a significant amount of communication to get the remaining funds from the property. We had provided everything the property needed to facilitate the refund on 11 Sep 2020 and yet a significant amount of follow up was required before the funds were finally received on 26 Oct 2020. No apology has ever been given. The attitude and behaviour has been appalling in this instance. My advice is: Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!
