★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amptec has been looking after the fire alarm system in our apartment building for a few years now doing the annual inspections and keeping the systems working properly. We were told recently that our alarm panel needed upgrading and Amptec was able to complete the work quickly and efficiently. We are happy with their work and will continue to make use of their services for our alarm and intercom needs.

This review is based on two separate occasions and experiences with this company.
First experience,
Technician was a no show, and when they did show, not all problems were addressed, we ended up having to replace the intercom panel. They still charged dispatch + minimum 2 hours. We should have moved on, but we didn't have a choice.
Second experience,
Since the first situation was in dispute, we had another issue with fire alarm was triggered. Amptec was the only one that had the key, they said they are responding but called back and said if we do not pay immediately, the technician will not be there. This delayed the response for 3 hours. Finally fire department came and shut off the alarm before the technician arrived.
I offered to pay dispatch and partial cost for the call, they refused and still decided to take the full amount when they didn't do anything and took credit for something fire department did for them. Rep, tried to justify that technician "did" a walk through when technician knew fully well that the alarm is off already.
Dealing with the sales is another horror story, they like to play toss and will make you water hours with them on the phone. I honestly cannot believe the dishonesty and the lack of ethics of this company.
Hopefully they actually read this and respond accordingly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would rate this as best place to go for Inspections. Loved each aspect of their service. I was looking to get fire inspection done for my business and after calling around 10 places no where I could get proper info nor a call back. Then I reached out to James at Amptec who is a rockstar of their team. Within 30 minutes he provided all the required info and I got my fire inspection done within just 2 hours of talking to James which I think was incredible communication and amazing efficiency. Not only James was top notch but their reception lady Tracy was very friendly and energetic in her work. Special thanks to the fire inspector who was heading to Calgary but still came for my inspection on such a short notice. This place has a bunch of amazing folks with great professionalism. Would definitely recommend other businesses to come here for hassle free inspection process !!
