★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Missed the leaking tub over flow and the cracked toilet in the home I bought. Would have been cheaper to not use them and put the $400 into the hole in my ceiling where they had to fix the tub or towards a new toilet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just had an inspection with Bill, and he was fantastic! He showed me specifics of what the issues were of the place and answered all my questions. It was done quicker than I expected.
There were also rude tenants in the place who Bill handled professionally and he didn't let their snide comments stop him from completing the inspection.
Great experience!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Inspector Bill Johnson, from Ameritec, performed the inspection on the house I was purchasing. I hired him because his name appeared on a list of approved inspectors, in Kamloops, from my employer.
I do not recommend using this company. Upon moving in, the following appliances did not work at all, were moldy, or were not covered in the inspection: washing machine, 2 years old, does not work (and replacement parts are no longer made), and the underground sprinkler system hoses were broken off right at the house.
The inspection did not "cover" these issues, so I wonder what good is paying for a house inspection if major appliances aren't covered?
The dishwasher, however, is covered. The inspection declared that a full wash cycle was run and it was found "serviceable". Upon first trial, I found one of the washer arms broken off and lodged in the lower rack. It does not work and the lower rack is stuck due to the washer arm stuck inside of it. Not to mention that it was slick with mold.
I emailed the inspector with this one complaint. His response was that the sellers must have broken the dishwasher after the inspection and before our possession.
Do not hire from this company. Hire someone who takes more time, and perhaps more care and pride, in their work.
