Travail impeccable, tant dans la démolition que dans la reconstruction, sans mentionner ponctualité, volonté de nous informer ou consulter sur l'avancement des travaux, discrétion, le tout de façon respectueuse et sympathique. Les techniques et matériaux utilisés correspondent aux meilleures normes du milieu. Après une première expérience très satisfaisante avec Alex Maçonnerie, « découvert » par hasard, je n'ai pas hésité à faire de nouveau appel à leurs services et, une fois de plus, je m'en félicite. Soumission plus élevée que concurrents, mais les quelques dollars supplémentaires en valaient largement la peine, non seulement en regard de la qualité des travaux mais également de ma tranquillité d'esprit! Et comme tout ça durera quelques décennies... Complete professionalism, from submission to site cleaning. Everything was respected as understood, which is rather rare in the community! Impeccable work, both in the demolition and in the reconstruction, without mentioning punctuality, willingness to inform or consult us on the progress of the work, discretion, all in a respectful and friendly manner. The techniques and materials used correspond to the best industry standards. After a very satisfying first experience with Alex Maçonnerie, "discovered" by chance, I did not hesitate to call on their services again and, once again, I am delighted. Higher bid than competitors, but the extra few dollars were well worth it, not only for the quality of the work but also for my peace of mind! And since all this will last a few decades ...

L'un des trois était Alex maçonnerie. Le premier soumissionnaire faisait les travaux pour $ 26 000, le deuxième pour $ 17 000. Le troisième était Alex maçonnerie. J'avais vu les commentaires sur Google disant qu'ils chargeaient plus cher que la moyenne. Je me disais, ça va probablement être autour de $ 30 000, peut-être $ 35 000. Le prix qu'ils me proposaient était $ 90 000 ! À la lecture du courriel, je pensais qu'ils faisaient une offre d'achat sur mon immeuble. I have to tell you. I had to do masonry on two brick walls in my building. I wanted to make three submissions. One of the three was Alex Masonry. The first bidder was doing the work for $ 26,000, the second for $ 17,000. The third was Alex Masonry. I had seen the reviews on google saying they were charging more than average. I was like, it's probably going to be around $ 30,000, maybe $ 35,000. The price they were offering me was $ 90,000! From reading the email, I thought they were making an offer to purchase my building.

Du début à la fin, nous avons été enchantés par le service de cet entrepreneur. Le processus de soumission était clair et professionnel avec une bonne disponibilité pour nos questions. Les travaux se sont déroulés rondement, avec un soucis du détail et de la qualité. Bien sur avec une maison de cet age, il y eu quelques surprises, mais Alex Maconnerie ont suggeré des solutions pratiques et professionelles sans chercher à gonfler la facture. Ils ont tout nettoyé avant de terminer et le travail est impeccable. We did business with Alex Maçonnerie in the spring of 2021 to redo several brick walls in our condominium, an early 20th century house in Outremont. From start to finish, we were delighted with the service from this entrepreneur. The submission process was clear and professional with good availability for our questions. The work went smoothly, with attention to detail and quality. Of course with a house of this age, there were some surprises, but Alex Maconnerie suggested practical and professional solutions without trying to inflate the bill. They cleaned everything before they finished and the job is impeccable.

I can say that i am very satisfied with our bosses and coworkers. We are a big familly who are passionate of the trade and very weary of detail. We treat every house we work on as of it were our own. Using high end products and respecting the norms of construction. Not many companies mirror our philosophy and therefore a few years later we are hired to repair the some of our competitors previous work. Looking forward to work with future clients this season.

Alex was extremely professional and courteous and took the time to explain to us the details of the work needed. His crew was exceptionally careful when accessing and protecting our neighbours new roof and were generally very tidy, unobtrusive, and a pleasure to interact with. I would not hesitate to work with them again. Thank you Alex, Mike and the rest of the team !

Got a couple of emails in french, though : "Nous vous remercions d’avoir pensé à l’équipe d’Alex Maçonnerie pour les travaux, mais nous n’effectuons pas ce travail." "Thanks for considering Alex Maconnerie for the work but we do NOT do that kind of work".....What kind of work ?.... 1) applying new mortar between bricks on my existing front and side walls. 2) replacing vinyl with new brick on the back wall. Seems to me that my work needs to be done by a brick-laying company. What gives with them saying that they refuse the job by saying "we don't do that kind of work". Very strange..... I get it that they're maybe very busy and they probably cherry-pick the biggest (ie $$$$$) jobs.....but still. EDIT 15 April 2021 : Ahh ! OK, so now I see after reading their response to this review : I have to wait until the 15 May (when I become the official owner of the house) before Alex Maconnerie will even touch the house. Funny because other contractors were perfectly willing to do work on the house before house ownership. Also they don't remove vinyl ? I could do it myself, strange. See, why didn't they give that quick simple response instead of vaguely stating : "we don't do that kind of work". Left me with a really bad, bitter aftertaste. EDIT 28 Oct 2021 : Impossible to get a bricklaying company to do a $ 1000 dollar job here in Montreal so......I did it myself with the help of Youtube and a few tools. Job turned out pretty good and it costed my about the same price including tools. Thanks for nothing, Alex Maconnerie.
