★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a really fun experience visiting Alert Bay and staying at the Lodge. Our host was very friendly, flexible and accommodating--welcoming us warmly and showing us around the island. We chose to have dinner at the lodge both evenings of our stay which was an excellent choice. The meals were plentiful and very tasty. I would highly recommend the lodge for those who are exploring this beautiful, interesting and culturally significant part of Canada.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Alert Bay Lodge is wonderful. The accommodation.. Room 4, specifically, with its own outside deck was a lovely way to enjoy watching ocean activity from the comfort of our own outside space.
Our host Scott provided us with a beautiful breakfast, a crackling fire, a terrific playlist and lots of local information every day.
Go visit... you won’t be disappointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our family stayed at Alert Bay Lodge for three nights in late August and we had a wonderful stay. The Lodge was very clean, comfortable and friendly. Scott was a wonderful host and provided lots of information about the community as well as delicious breakfasts with a great view of the Bay. I could have been happy to just sit with a book by the fireplace. We've experienced cottages and such B&Bs in numerous locations - this one is amongst the best!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty big bedroom, with a good size ensuite bathroom. We had access to a deck that overlooks the ocean. The common room is huge, filled with books and with lots of windows. If you travel with family or friends, it's nice to have such a great place where spending the evening. The breakfast was very good and the host was friendly yet professional.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful place to stay. So clean and interesting. Nina was a wonderful host, made us great breakfasts.
The location is perfect, beautiful view, and is close enough to the main hub area that you can walk .
We had room #2, the only one with a bath, so highly recommend that one!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The star of this very quaint lodge with gorgeous views of Alert Bay is Nina, one of the owners.
We cannot rate her husband Scott as he was away, during our visit.
If you like a lodge with a home like feeling complete with hearty well made breakfasts, and the opportunity to meet fellow travellers, this is the place to stay.
Nina is very knowledgeable and available to answer any questions and provide information. She makes everyone feel special.
We loved our room with partial views of Alert Bay.
The only complaint which we failed to address with Nina was, the mattress was too soft and the pillows too hard in that room.
Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely stay at the Lodge and Nina is a great host. Stayed with another couple, she gave us great ideas of touring Alert Bay, made us feel very welcome in the great room, and cooked a wonderful breakfast. Room 4 is definitely a bonus with the outdoor deck area, but really, you shouldn't be in your room anyway so they were all lovely. We will have no hesitation to recommend to fellow travellers.
