I call to find out my balance. I get a receptionist, then transferred to a customer service rep who doesn't have enough time to tell me my balance but does have enough time to schedule a call back in 2 days at a non specified time... HELLO!! you could have just told me how much and I would have paid you right then and there. They are clearly too rich and thus have no urgency to care about collecting from me. Thus their customer service does illogical things like waste their own time and their customers. The energy industry should be more open to competition, i don't appreciate paying money for poor services. If i have a choice, my money goes to people who earn it.

Owed Alectra 117$ since Dec. 2020 it's February 10 2021 , already sent to collections, had no ideal I still owed it because I have moved and did not receive an email. Which they had for 13 years. Oh also it's COVID thanks ALECTRA

Horrible customer service, they will hang up on you. And by the way what are those $20 activation fee for!?? I got my bill with that charge attached and they state that is a fee to run the business so my question is what am being charged month by month? This company takes advantage of their customers because there's no other provider. They need to have competence in order to improve and stop ripping off customers.

Forced monopoly and AWFUL Services. Zero stars if available. Dealing with a missed payment now where you need a math degree to understand their interest rates. 1. They remove automated bank payments (easier to miss payments). 2. They send a bill 23 days after a missed payment is due 3. Charge interest on some imaginary logic 4. Pay new bill in full with the interest added, then still under and charged more penalties ??!?! Get your stuff together Alectra, this is a joke and if I could I would switch to another company.

Power surges in my area on a regular basis. Charged a $20 admin fee to add a name to our account, which took them 3 months and countless requests to do by the way. No one seems to know what they are doing or maybe just don't want to take accountability. This is ridiculous that in 2020 in Canada these people are the monopoly, why is there no competition? If they could use the same effort they use in deducting my FULL payment from my account EVERY MONTH to providing a full months worth of seamless service every month it would be great. I understand there will be issues at times, but the regular power surges and outages lately are happening far too frequently.There is a great reason that reviews for all Alectra locations average less than 3 stars. Their customer service and the "service" that people pay a pretty penney for are beyond substandard. Sad that people don't have another choice.

Google should really re-think an option to have negative stars. Its a pity we have to give one star. Had a chat with a gentleman in the customer service yesterday. If, as they all say, those conversations are being recorded for training and auditing purposes, hopefully my conversation too was captured. Although I wouldn't expect anyone at Alectra to even review them anyway. Long story short, I had to endure a practically one-sided conversation, with my inputs restricted to words of one syllables. It was as if I was the customer service agent and he was the customer. To people at Alectra, I would recommend Toastmasters to improve listening and speaking skills, at least in the Customer Service department. Thank you for your service - or lack thereof.

I have set up autopay my bills and money was not withdrawn. I called alectra and talked to customer service rep in payment division. Once connected, she was eating or whatever, didn't say hello for 2 mins on on-going call. Later, she said, can I call you back?. When she called, I asked her the money was not withdrawn for my bill and today is due date. She said it will not be withdrawn since Bill was generated. What is bummer!! Scheduled auto pay for more than 2 weeks before due date. Asked her, if she can push payment through from system since bank details are already there in the system. She said NO. She said only way I can pay is by visiting Bank in cold winter. When technology is on finger tips, Alectra Utilities is in stone age. Very backward!

Definitely the poorest service when it come to customer service, not sure what kind of staff they have hired, should have been considerate of others problem and not all the more troublesome, so far most stupid experience with them. Had an issue with the bill, out of no where got a huge bill and then no help or solution suggested to me, still hanging in between. Honestly telling you these guys doesn't deserve to work there, working on a govt job getting everything and no respect for others. what goes around will come around definitely. I wish they had someone empathetic working for the people. Especially the escalation department. I am not left with any option but to look for a lawyer.
