Alberta Small Moves - Calgary

I booked a moving two weeks ago with Michael very un professional and not on time he confirmed everything with me but latter the refused to come they are such idiots to deal with them and never listen. I wish there was no star for these people they don’t deserve any star and they shouldn’t be in this if they can’t keep up a good service.

We had a great move experience! They focus on what is really important and provide good value. I recommend to review their website and work with them on your small move and they aim to please. They are hard working people that are what made Alberta great.

I just saw their truck in the wild and I can’t believe they’re still getting work. DO NOT USE THIS MOVER! They broke my tv, then yelled and called my wife names when she complained. They doubled their fee mid-move even though they knew exactly how much they were moving beforehand. My wife was told by one of the movers to not leave anything valuable out because the owner just hires people off of cash corner and they couldn’t promise nothing would be stolen. These guys may be cheaper than some, but they are the worst/most unprofessional service I have ever used. I could go on, they were THE WORST!!!!

This was an unfortunate experience. To be fair I will just state the facts: -Called and booked a move for a pre-set date at a pre-set time -They showed up on time -On a rainy, muddy day they walked into our home with shoes on the carpets -When asked to please remove the shoes Michael said that he cannot because he can hurt his feet and it is a safety issue -I asked for them to lay tarps then especially since all the carpets had been cleaned at both houses- he said he would do this -They took out one small ottoman and struggled with it down the stairs -They left the ottoman whose legs had been removed to get it through the door on the pavement OUTSIDE the garage on a rainy day when it was supposed to go in the garage- they left it there and it got soaked and muddy - They came back to the house WITHOUT tarps with wet shoes ready to walk on the carpets - When I reminded him that he promised tarps he then quickly told me that he felt uncomfortable, did not like my 'tone' in telling him as second time not to track mud on our carpets and that he did not want to do the move - I asked why and he said because he felt I was endangering their safety by asking for the carpets to be protected - He left after we had waited all day and were supposed to move - I then called Calgary Pro Movers who came within 2 hours and did an amazing, fast, professional job, laid tarps everywhere without me even asking. By the end the tarps were filthy so carpets would have been destroyed without the tarps. Opinion: I have a feeling that Michael felt overwhelmed by our move and needed an excuse to get out of it which was quite unprofessional. They struggled with an ottoman so I cant even imagine how they would have moved the mattresses and large table. Them leaving was a blessing in disguise but the behavior was completely unprofessional and there is no universe where hiring movers means destroying your carpets and you need to be ok with that. He should have inspected a day prior to make sure he was completely comfortable not left us in the lurch. Gave 2 stars because I felt too bad to give him 1

Michael and his partner seem like nice people BUT I would not use them again or recommend them. My leather couch and chair were damaged, my dining room table legs are completely scratched, all pieces otherwise in perfect condition prior to move, I mentioned the damage to couch and the response was "we didn't do that, that was previous", it was not, I took before pictures. DO NOT USE this company.

I had a wonderful experience with Michael and his team! We just did a small move, but they were very professional and super careful! They even stayed longer to help put my furniture back together. It was a pleasure to work with them!

Alberta Small Moves helped my move today. Michael and Lyle were excellent, very professional, careful with my possessions, and friendly to be around. They took direction perfectly when I asked them to place items in certain locations, and were helpful with very good suggestions. I have made many moves in my life, and found ASM to be a first-class option for someone who is a condo or small townhouse owner. I would not hesitate to use Alberta Small Moves again.

Great service! Very nice people. Michael and his colleague worked straight through, no hanging around or running up the tab. The rate was reasonable and everything was delivered in good condition. They clearly state on the website that they do not pack your stuff - so have all your stuff packed up and ready to go. I was very satisfied. Would use them again and recommend them - especially for small moves.
