About Alberta Income Support
A competition using Alberta open data, is launched. The Government of Alberta, in partnership with Alberta Innovates Technology Futures, hosted this innovation competition from February – August 2015. Apps for Alberta offered $70,000 in cash prizes to encourage the brightest and most creative minds in Canada and the United States to develop apps that use open data from the Alberta open government portal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have had a few issues with them but they have still helped me. However they never answer their phones no matter what time I call at and I end up playing phone tag with them which is very frustrating.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not at all possible to reach them by phone in any sort of simple way the one number they have posted just rambles on about hours in 2014!! I have a very serious emergency I need to contact these guys about but cannot cause of how atrocious the phone system is set up. I now probably will be forced to lose my support cause they don’t want to make it easy for people to talk to someone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An absolute joke to deal with. Four months now of applying for income support due to being unable to work I still have recieved no help. The fact you can't apply in person I feel like I've bin literally put off and treated unfairly. How does one live when they are Ill not aloud to work and have no income. I have lost my home. And am running out of options on where to stay. It sure would be nice to receive help I am entitled to under the medical program. Or to be able to communicate properly as I have children this is affecting as well.
