Where to begin? from the outside the townhouse we viewed looked ok, it was well worn, some would say abused. We were assured everything would be repaired but the damage stayed that way. When we took possession almost nothing had been repaired, and never would. AMHC consistently ignored work orders and denied receiving them. The only way around that was to have them stamped and a copy made for my records. Their houses are built with the cheapest bidders with the cheapest materials. Broken screen doors, garage doors, even the doors in the house wouldn't close properly. Our deck had broken boards for the entire year we lived there, our wooden fence in the back yard fell down one day and it took them a month to fix it. Our community had these ancient water heater/furnace units that broke down repeatedly, when it died in January we had no hot water and heat. The "acting superintendent" gave us one electric heater and said it would be fixed tomorrow. We had to call the Town of Ajax to have it fixed that day and extra heaters brought in as AMHC was in violation of the Landlord Tenant act, as they very often were. If you like bedbugs and cockroaches you're in for a treat, our block was the only one without them but the rest all had them and were rarely treated for them. Then there's the crime. for every drug dealer that got caught there were 3 more coming in. When high end cars are coming at 3 am with blaring music it brings trouble. I remember one day the drug house had a party with each corner nearby having multiple lookouts and guys to direct the buyers. It was a scene right out of The Wire. We had people coming through our garbage for recyclables and later I learned for credit card statements as 2 others in my neighbourhood had their identities stolen from it. We had a BBQ stolen even though it was locked up. The place was like watching an episode of Trailer Park Boys. There were ALWAYS fights and you could tell when the welfare checks came out because the hood smelled like weed smoke and the idiots were out screaming at eachother until 5 am. I remember the disabled lady across the street complained because the visitor parking that her caregiver parked in had a car there for 5 months because some dirtbag had let their family member park there and go to Jamaica, sure enough the van had it's tires slashed and windows broken. The cops could or would never contain the problems and neither would management. Honestly I've never seen such poor management in a housing community that should be dedicated to helping people. We complained many times about crime, noise and the speeders but nothing was ever done. Excuse after excuse about "how they've tried this or that" blah blah blah. They "lost" rent checks, important forms and everything else and wouldn't phone you but mail you a letter that took 2 weeks to arrive. Management harassed long time tenants and seemed to really hate the disabled people who lived there because they refused all the orders for grab bars and ability aides. In the end we broke the lease and left and on the very last morning some dirt bags broke into our moving van. They must have been disappointed and probably couldn't read as all they found were the books packed on top of all the good stuff and never found my valuables. Thanks dummies. I would NEVER raise a child in that place unless you want them to end up in jail or on the streets. Good riddance hellhole.

Oh my gosh where do I begin. This is the most disgusting place I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy! From rat infestation to bedbugs to cockroaches this place is absolutely horrid! Maintainence is so bad they never fix anything and when they do it is the shitttiest job I have ever witnessed everything falls apart and is broken. The infestation aren’t treated properly. There is Toronto housing that is better than this place im they need to knock it all down and start from scratch. The people that work there Show only contempt. It should be illegal to live this way in. CANADA Durham region needs to fire them all especially Dianne! If I could give this place no stars I would! DO NOT MOVE HERE

I like that they put cameras up in the complex. I have young kids and I like knowing the security is there. Parking is tight sometimes on the weekends tho. Office staff Nicky and Nora are helpful

My niece lives at Post Hill residence and really likes her apartment. They fixed her balcony last year and have really tried to improve the look of the building from the outside. Nice place!

My friend at Westwood Housing needed some changes in her place to help her get to the shower. She wrote in to the office and they came the next week and cut the side of her tub so she can walk in. She was so happy! She can't stop talking about it.

I wish i could give these guys a big fat 0!!...For the past year I've been trying to move closer to my family, friends & support system. Everytime I enquire about their rental units, im told that they do not have any listings available, however they had empty units when I had called them. I had a friend apply but she was turned down & told that they rented to a family in need. Two(2) more units opened up but once again, I was over looked & was told that the property manager Kevin Bradley rented it out without telling them...like really, where's the communication??? Months later, another unit became available, I was told first come first serve. I did the application yet again & thought I met the requirements. I got a phone call from Nikita (rental agent) verifying that i could afford to pay for the rental...it was deemed that I could, HOWEVER, once again I was overlooked. Two(2) weeks ago, I called them once again because two(2) more units opened up. I told Nikita that I want to apply now & she said that they don't have a listing. Once I provided her with the address, she then said that she does not know how long it will take for the contractors to renovate the unit. I told her I still want to apply & i will wait. She clapped back & said that she does not know if the units will be available for market price or rent geard to income. I contacted the property manager Kevin Bradley & left him a message...I've been waiting for the past 3 days & still he has NOT called me back. Where's the professionalism? The only reason I wanted to move to this area, was to be closer to my family, friends & support system. AMHA & Kevin Bradley really let me down & dropped the ball. P.s. as of today(7-22-2020) they still have 2 opened rental units...smh. I've asked on a few occasions for a rental unit BUT I refuse to beg them!!!

Apologize to all i clicked onwrong selection reviews. But since im here its a nice community area. People are friendly and management is always available to help. I have nothing negative to say only that wish i knew this place existed yrs ago instead of moving all around.. Great place.

I've lived in Hubbard Station since June 2016, and I can honestly say I've never had a problem with this place. My 1 bedroom apartment has tons of space plus four windows that give me full daylight from sunrise till sunset. I also love the fact that my apartment has a hallway from the door entrance, so there's a sense of extra privacy when you first enter. The building is always kept tidy and neat both inside and out. I also love the open concept feature of the apartments. And unlike most apartments (including other ones in this building), the bedroom in mine is a fairly decent size. Everyone in this building is friendly and a lot of the tenants look out for each other as well. Love it here.
