★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful beach. Great for kids and dogs. Bonus - a superb spot to safely watch the Snowbirds practice from the beach. You need to purchase an inexpensive annual pass for parking. Warning: Don't speed or miss any stop signs.

Low tides are awesome.
Buy an inexpensive yearly pass,
though they don't check often if
you have one.
Snack bar serves hot food.
Change rooms.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredible location for kayaking and swimming. Low tide offers endless opportunities for sand dollar collecting, starfish-gazing, and crab-chasing. If I am ever back in the area, this is a must-see again. Blue waters and white sand against a backdrop of rugged mountains and a blue sky with bright sunshine: one of my favorite memories of Vancouver Island!

Beautiful sand and expansive during low tide.
Some pathways in the woods. Dog friendly.
