Dave and all of his staff are members in good standing with the Appraisal Institute of Canada and they are also fully licensed with the governing body RECA (Real Estate Council of Alberta). Dave called me prior to our appraisal and we discussed the appraisal process, the methods that are utilised in arriving at a final estimated market value, and he patiently answered any questions that I had at that time. Dave has a keen understanding and years of experience in the real estate market and shared some insight into the market in my particular area. After the appraisal was completed, and when I had questions about the value of my property, Dave responded to my inquiry both by phone and email. I would highly recommend Dave McLennan and his Alberta staff.
J	Joanne Fisher on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In a hurry? Don't call this company.. I recently received the very worst possible "service" from Aedis. An appraisal for a older house on an acre of land took 8 days. Yes, that's right, EIGHT DAYS. This included: rescheduling the initial appointment, doing the site visit, then, two days later when I was expecting the appraisal to be nearing completion, I instead got a very impersonal, no, make that rude, email request for more money on top of their prepaid, agreed-upon fee. The reason for needing to increase the fee was said to be because of the lot size being an acre. No appraisal company has ever pulled this stunt with me before. The acre in question is undeveloped, with a garden and a few chickens. This was enough for the entire process to come to a acreeching halt. I guess no one at Aedis bothers to even do a quick review of the properties they will be looking at beforehand. Nice way to put your clients over the barrel - hit them up for money a couple days after the fact. From there, it went from bad to worse. A lost summary sheet. Computer issues, and an incredible amount of wasted time waiting for this gong show to end. A week went by. Repeated phone calls to them trying to chase the appraisal down. It was a complete nightmare. At no time did I ever feel that my appraisal was any sort of priority, despite the delays. No apologies for what, for any other firm, would have been truly embarrassing service. No, just a $15 discount for the most expensve, most delayed, most ridiculous transaction I have ever had with an appraisal firm. Avoid these people like the plague.

Had to follow up multiple times to confirm the original appointment and arrange a time for the appraiser to come out, and then again to receive the report. Sent an email to the appraiser and never did end up hearing back through this channel, ended up calling in to speak to another representative to get a response. Waited 12 days to get the appraisal report back for a residential property, and it was full of inaccuracies. Informed them we were on a time crunch. We wanted to share this review to help others. If you want quick, accurate and reliable service consider looking elsewhere.

If you made a mistake in your report and chose a higher value comparing to wrong newer apartments, it is important to be professional and fix your assessment. I am having so much headache because of this error!!
