Extremely rude attendant who will not answer questions or help in any way. They advertise $11 parking but fail to mention that their facility closes at 6:30pm. Don't make it back in time? Out of luck - locked until the next day.

I found spot but it is not cheap. $12 for two hours.

THIS LOT SERVES A MEDICAL BUILDING but does not serve this type of customer many of whom have mobility limitations. CASH or BANK DEBIT CARDS NOT ACCEPTED. This is NOT MARKED ANYWHERE CREDIT CARDS ONLY!! For you must drive one block down a steep hill from Broadway to park your car. THEN you must exit the lot and traipse UP THE HILL and re-enter through a different driveway to FIND the unattended machine! This is no where near the area where you park ...however it "is" on your way to the Broadway Medical Centre so not bad IF you know where to look. **Some parking lots in Vancouver have adopted this practice of not accepting money as payment. I find DEPLORABLE and would like to see it banned -- WHEN ONE CONSIDERS the extremely high cost of parking v.s. relatively low overhead maintenance for an open parking lot it is not unreasonable to expect they will take the currency of the country. DESPITE having $10.00 in ONE & TWO DOLLAR COINS plus a bank full of money & a debit card, I had to suffer the INDIGNITY of having to ask a person who had just purchased a ticket to purchase one for me in exchange for money. As it turned out there wasn't enough time purchased because my appointment ran longer than expected (as most medical appointments do) I arrived back at the lot 3 MINUTES past the expired time & the parking company had already put a notice on my car demanding $80 (EIGHTY DOLLARS) in fines levied by the company ....not the city but made to appear to be an official city citation!! This accompanied this with WRITTEN THREATS of court action and dire warnings of black marks to my credit rating. I phoned the next day to explain what had happened, that I am not a a swindler and offered to pay for an additional 30 minutes which was the minimum amount of time they sold. Was told in no uncertain terms that I MUST PAY the full $80.00 I calmly repeated that I could not do that for two reasons : 1: it was wrong and amounted to usury. 2: I could not afford that as I am on permanent disability due to life threatening illnesses. At that point she said she could arrange a PAYMENT PLAN for me, to which I repeated my first reason and offered once again to buy 30minites of time even though I was only over by THREE MINUTES according to the time on their ticket. The person I spoke with professed empathy & reduced the price to $60.00 (FOR 3 MINUTES PARKING). I said I understood she could not override company policy no matter how distasteful and asked (still polite and calm which is not my strong suit) if I could speak with someone who had that authority. She did not want to do this (most likely she is looked upon badly for passing calls upstairs) and was emphatic that it wouldn't make any difference, I would be told the same thing. I had to insist though that that may be the case, I would still need to hear it from the person she was speaking for. FINALLY she connected me with a supervisor and I then had to start from scratch .... offering to pay for what I had used ...offering to send a copy of the ticket showing it was only a few minutes past the exprired time ..... rejecting the offer of a payment plan etc.etc.etc. ABOVE ALL using FOURTY FIVE MINUTES of whatever time I have left on the planet and to put salt in the would, defend my integrity over a 3 minute discrepancy. In the end, decency and common sense prevailed and he cancelled the ticket. If this had been a simple call I would have awarded THREE STARS (minus one for difficulty in building access, minus one for having to search for machine & minus one for not taking cash or debit cards) All lost because they don't accept the currency of the land in which they do business while providing very little value and in particular, not addressing the needs of what is surely the demographic of most of the customers for this lot. They lie about their rates. Website says $4.50/hr (see bottom of screenshot taken today) but once you are there, they charge $6/hr. They do not take cash and the second elevator was out of order, causing huge crowding during covid.
