I have been trying to find ADSEAL Kitchen/Bathroom Silicone for a number of days. I have tried stores in the Sutton and Cowansville areas of the Eastern Townships and no one has any stock. I typed in ADSEAL on my web browser and Adfast Canada came up. I called the number on the web. The person to whom I spoke said that yes, they had plenty in stock. He asked how many tubes I was in need of. I told him 6, he said no problem. I said, I can come to your address on Diab and he answered yes, no problem. So, after a 2-hour drive from the Townships and another 1-hour drive through Montreal, I arrived at Adfast. I went to the reception and told the young woman at the counter what I wanted. She asked me if I am a contractor and if I have an account with the company. I explained to her that the person I spoke to did not at any time tell me that I needed to be a contractor and/or have an account in order to purchase merchandise. She asked who I spoke with, and my bad, I did not ask the name of the individual. She explained that they cannot sell to an individual as that would go against company policy. While I can and do understand these guidelines, why would I be told that it was fine to come to the corporate office to purchase the product? The lady at reception told me that the product is sold "everywhere" and named a few store chains that are supposed to carry. Eight stores later (Laval, Ville Saint-Laurent, Ville LaSalle, NDG, St-Henri and le Plateau), only one store had one Adfast product - High Temperature. My time, like your time, is a valuable commodity and because of an uninformed employee, I am no further ahead in my work schedule than I was this time a week ago. I am very disappointed to think that your staff would not even offer to sell to me at the price I would have paid in a retail store, after all, looks like all the product is in your showroom and obviously not on the shelves of any retail outlets.
