Action Septic Pumping

Great service. He was able to come right away. Very knowledgeable. I learned alot about my septic system from him. He also cleaned the filter to my septic feild. I would recommend and use his service again.

Cody came out yesterday and took care of everything professionally and courteously. I'd definitely recommending giving him a call if you need a septic tank pump out.

Our septic backed up. Of course we were hosting a backyard gathering for some grade 12 kids that same day. Cody came on short notice and got it done. I would not call anyone else in the future. Thanks Cody! Peter and Myra

**CAUTION:** $100's in extra charges WITHOUT permission from the customer to do work. Cody came out to pump a tank for me. After the tank was pumped, he noted that there was still limited flow into the tank and suggested that the clean out needed to be checked, and pointed out where the clean out would be located. Our clean out was 2' from the tank lid, and location identified immediately. so there was no time in searching around for it. My son & I, along with Cody dug a small 1.5' x 1.5' hole to access the clean out lid. The lid was removed & the clean out cleared, and the residual that went into the tank was pumped out. This all took literally 10 minutes. The entire job from beginning to end, I was with Cody and assisting him with any aspect including water hose attachment, spray nozzle set up & after the job, clean up of equipment. What shocked me, was when he gave me the bill. Without mentioning a word about EXTRA charges BEFORE doing any work, Cody billed me an EXTRA $150 for the 10 minute clean out portion, in which my son & I did most of the digging work. Thinking this was an oversight on his part, I called Cody to discuss the extra $150 & ask why it was charged, being that we helped him with the bulk of the work. He immediately became defensive, justifying that he rendered a professional service by locating the clean out. Since three of us shared the ten minute job I thought he would be reasonable and at least reduce the fee or logically charge 1/3 of it. Cody became very belligerent even when I questioned him about the extra charges insisting that his costs of operating his truck merited the extra charge. He kept stating that "if I went to a plumber, it would have cost me much more". Nevertheless, he never gave me that choice. The point I was questioning him on was why he didn't bother to tell me AHEAD of time that he was going to charge me extra for some work that I could have easily done myself (with the exception of pumping the residual) This type of business practice, in my opinion is quite devious. Quote one price for a job & arbitrarily decide to do more work without notifying the customer that there would be extra charges, and not give the customer a choice to proceed or not. Any time I tried to talk & reason with him, I was constantly interrupted & more justifications & rants were sent my way. He would not even entertain the thought that I had a different view on the situation & that he was charging extra for something he never gave me a choice on, and to boot, we helped him on it AND, I also have an irrigation line that I now have to pay even more money to get it repaired, as Cody deliberately cut through it with his shovel. I have 4 different septic tanks & have used Action Septic for 23 years. As Cody told me, he is a new owner and has had the company now for 3 months. So, I would caution anyone who has used Action Septic in the past, that this is NOT the same company & NOT the same person. ... you may end up paying for things you are never told about ahead of time or given the choice on. In my thinking, customer service is key. I am a customer willing to pay what I owe but when someone is deceptive and unwilling to even hear me out - I will choose to find another company to deal with. **Suggestions welcome for a good company to pump my other 3 tanks next week.** I would give ZERO STARS for customer service and professionalism if I could.

I have used Cody on previous jobs for pumping septic tanks for my clients. He is my first choice. I'am a contractor and I appreciate his professionalism, response times and transparency when on site with me and my clients. I highly recommend Cody for all your Septic pumping needs.

Our property manager called him to pump the septic tank in one of our properties in Kelowna. We had a inspection by the septic designer and installer that the pumping is not required at that time. But my property manager decided to go ahead and this guy insisted that the tank should be pumped, total conflict of interest and biased action. Then, we received the invoice, we noticed that he is charging us two times as a standard rate, due to a false comment that your tank is bigger! We got our septic guru to call him to ask why he is charging two times more. He didn't respond to his calls and didn't want to explain. Instead, he threatened us that if we don't pay the full fee, he will pump back the waste to the tank, a bizarre and unprofessional response. In addition to that, he charged us another $150 because he says he found some solid which apparently dumped by the tenants. I hope this review helps to advocate customer rights and also other people to make a wiser decision.

Experienced a backup and needed my tank pump, Cody was there in couple hours and really saved me a lot of headaches. He spent a little time afterwards and made sure everything was flowing correctly and since I have an older system he gave me some recommendations on maintenance and repairs to keep it going. Highly recommended
